FFV "JOB" HELP

The ones you mentioned are good, but in the long run you'll want to master every job class, since the abilities you learn from each class carries over to your bare fighter, allowing you to equip 2 swords and use magic, as one example.

I'm currently playing the game and what I did was have 1 character juggle blackmage, sorceror, and summoner for a while. not really mastering any of them but getting to the hgih levels in each of those jobs and then finally mastering blackmage and then geomancer. (now im working on mastering summoner and then to sorceror) I found each of these jobs quite useful in the game. Sorceror saved me a few times and the black magic still helps me as a sub job! and Summoning is VERY useful in this game so I would advise you to use that.

With another character I had Master whitemage and timemage. while using the healing staff as a weapon. and now I'm working on Chemist. I found this a very good combination. Making this character a fantastic healer, with any bonuses and little offensive magic of time magic and now chemist is giving me bonuses to items affects. I like this combination VERY much.

For Faris i used as a fighter. I set her to knight in the beginning till level 3 and then switched to beserker and mastered that. Ya beserker seems to be an odd choice... but I enjoyed have faris hack and slash everyone and everything... ofcourse there were times where Faris would attack enemies that you don't want attacked for strategy against certain bosses, y'know? then I went and mastered Knight (which was a good idea) and now I'm working on Lancer. I plan on mastering ninja and Hunter with faris too. That way I can combine duel wielding with Rapid Fire for the ultimate physical damage.

As for Reina, I went and started her out as a theif to level 3. (secretes is a GOOD ability to have sometimes) then I switched her to Redmage asap. 5 years later... shes still redmage. I have to tell you Redmage takes FOREVER to master! but in the end you can cast any two magics at the same time! I think it's worth it! oh! and It's also good to get level 2 Blue mage with Reina, like I did, so you can set "Learning" as a subjob ability. That way, while your leveling redmage you can have her learn any bluemagic spells. But it's not good having the same character with secretes and Learning. when you switch to secretes sometimes you forget to switch back to Learning... T_T.

So far (other than missing shiva and Ramuh as summons) I think I'm doing quite well. I just hope I master all the jobs that I want to. I'm hoping to master each job at least once. But ofcourse I'll have to double up some jobs in Reina's case. Probably whitemage and summoner. That way she can either double heal or double summon later on.

good jobs but if your starting with the wind crystal jobs have bartz in monk to learn counter you may have to grind do that before the fire-ship/steamship boss then once counter is learned have bartz a knight then level his job level to 3 to learn 2 handed/double grip and Galuf have a knight when bartz is a monk Reina/Lenna whitemage to learn white3 faris bluemage to get learn then switch to thief if you want you can place counter on knight (i would recommend if he has more ability's) then you will have lots of Gil when you do buy 5ice rods 1 for the black mage/red mage then you should do sorcerer and master it with Bartz or galuf (i did this with my desired jobs afterwards you'll have no prob) thank you if anyone reads this and it helps post a thanks oh after the fire crystal have someone in ninja and try to master it if you do you can learn 2-swords

It turns out blue magic is the only kind NOT to work with redx2 -.- aka you cannot double cast blue magic.
