Oh, you meant the issue 55 with it's debut of Thanos and Drax. It was about 40 bucks for a mid-grade copy. I was happy. Like I said, the book is elusive as hell in any grade. Hell, even the Marvel Milestone reprint book doesn't pop up often.

Picked up Annuals 5 and 6 along with issue 170 as well.


Is it just me, or is issue 199 probably the single worst one ever?

I don't know about that. I can think of many good ones off the top of my head that weren't part of the milestone lead up even. This particular issue of Iron Man was just... bad. Camped out worse than the Adam West Batman show.

Dude, I think 199 was worse. Stark put together an outfit which was only partly armor tech and looked like a cross between Hindsight Lad from New Warriors mixed Robotmaster from Transformers. Horrendous. Plus an armor got possessed by alien.

Point. And Tony wasn't too far removed from the sauce in 199. Sad thing is Tony got much better treatment in the FF The End series by Alan Davis.

God, I loved his line in the recent issue of Mighty Avengers. "A god and a super soldier. These are all the Avengers I need."

Dunno if you care, but Iron Man 2020 is being featured in Astonishing Tales.

Iron Man was great, the fight between Namor and Stark was great. Tony at his truest and finest, it reminds me of the good ol' days, before he was basically a god among men.

Also, Iron Woman was arrested.

What a great idea, Mac. And i gotta say, i totally endorse your pick of the week. Iron Man trumped every other release this last week.

Heh, i was betting on the controller too, how he gets to that point though is the interesting thing. I loved Osborn's offer to the Hood, a better question about the offer, is what sorts of Iron Man foes do you think it will revive?

I think the fight between Namor and Stark was the best. "I never could beat you Namor, but i could always out-think you."

Yeah, i wondered that about Potts too! why didn't she just fly the *bleep* away? i mean she just stopped a plane with her shield, i don't think bullets would do jack shit.

Oh man, we definitely need to see Hammer. Also, i'll be damn dissapointed if we don't see the Mandarin or Cobalt Man.

This last week had a bunch of terrific releases, next week looks very promising too.

I don't think the Spidey Ish was nearly as good as Iron Man. The only one that cam relatively close was Secret Warriors, and still Iron Man was much better.
