That is a pretty striking image, I must say.

Though I'm disking the lack of variety between them. They all look like older versions of each other. And then it hit me that every single freakin' main Robin has had that short black hair look.



BTW, I read the Earth One books during my trip to Chicago. Can't believe I'm saying this but I enjoyed Superman Earth One over Batman Earth One. In fact, I don't think I enjoyed Superman that much since the Superman: Animated Series and the JLA shows.

So I'm just about done with the first volume of The Darkness.

I swear, you guys, I've never been this conflicted with a comic book. Some of the points I love are as followed: the Darklings. Love those guys. The art is great, reminds me of Spawn. Jackie's powers and the history behind the Darkness is also pretty cool. And the crossover with Batman? it was okay but I liked how it actually had an affect on the universe and, even till issue 30, Jackie was still mentioning it. It was important, instead of being a one time thing. But what I probably love the most is Jackie's slow descent in to goodness. How I slowly see him develop from issue one to issue 40 in to a person who wants to do good.

Now the ugly side: I'm not a feminist and I'm not political at all. I don't look for hidden meanings and I don't even try to spot generalizations. But this comic book demoralizes females and the female sex more so than any other comic book I've read. I'm pretty sure every which way you could abuse a women was in this series. it got so bad that I almost stopped reading the book.


So yeah, the Darkness...

Yeah I played the games.

And women follow this? Hmm...

I can't help but laugh at that face.

walnuts, 52, his own mini series. Power of Shazam, and JSA are the best places for some Black Adam goodness.

Best part was Nightwing knowing that Damian attacked Red Hood and Red Robin and handed his weapon to Damian, being a boss and saying "Don''t try so hard"



On another note, went back to read to read Frankenstein due to the crossover with Rot World. I read the first issue and just didn't care to return for #2 so now I'm reading the rest. It's good. it's the weakest of the Dark/supernatural books of the new 52 but that is like being the worst player of the USA Men's Basketball team. I'm only 5 issues in but probably my main complaint is I just don't know much about the origin of Frankenstein or S.H.A.D.E., which seems to go against what the new 52 was suppose to do.

I will take either Animal Man or Shade. I'll narrow it down today or tomorrow and decide between the two, but it's rough, because I love them both a lot.
