Firstly i'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I looked at the other catagories and figured that my question fell under the catagory of audio.
I recently discovered that in Windows Media Player you could change the speed of songs playing, its great for listening to songs on my computer but I was wondering whether there was a way to save the sped up version of the song as an MP3 so I could use it on my iPod for example. If there is no available way to do this using only Windows Media Player, then could someone suggest some software that I could do this with, whether its a free download or costs I don't mind. Also if this is in the wrong forum could someone suggest a better one, Thanks | |

Why would you want to speed up the song and listen to it that way? Wouldnt it be distorted and sound weird when you play it back? You can download Audacity and then LAME-MP3 (I think its called that..) and you can speed up the song and export it using that program. I'm not sure if you can save it in WMP though.

It's not speeding up ridiculously fast, its just nice to listen to a song you enjoy but with a twist to it. I'll try your suggestion and thanks
