Final Fantasy Tactics review
FFT often overlooked, but still one of the best!
Everything in this game is good, especially the complex storyline, original battle system, and the job system. The bad:
The worst part of this game is the learning curve. This is a very difficult game for beginners!Summary:
Final Fantasy Tactics is one of Squaresoft's best games, but unfortunately it is often overlooked. This is very disappointing because people who will never play this game are really missing out on an enjoyable, RPG experience.
First I would like to explain the learning curve, which I listed as the only bad thing in this game. I'm telling you now that this is a very difficult game for people who don't know what they are doing. Luckily there is a tutorial which will teach you everything you need to know!
The story, battle system, and job system are great features. But when you put all three of them together in one game like Squaresoft did for this game, the experience is nothing short of amazing. The only complaint I have about the story is that it is too short and it is left open for a sequel (which, I should add, never came!) The job system should be familiar to people who have played Final Fantasy 5. Now picture that and multiply it by 20. With the wide variety of jobs, skills, and abilities to choose from, the possibilities are endless.
If you have any doubts as to whether or not you should get this game, forget them now and find a way to get a copy of this game! Although many people may not agree with me, I think this is one of Squaresoft's best games.
