Final Fantasy Tactics User Reviews
The deep storyline with likeable characters and also deep gameplay makes this game ridicoulusly good. Its one of my favorite Final Fantasy games along with FF7 and FF8.The bad:
When you move a character and you dont like that he was placed ther you cant move him back, this makes the game hard for newcommers to this kind of gameplay, not for noobs, seriously play some other tactical games before this one so you can get used to it like Vandal Hearts and Fire Emblem.Summary:
Final Fantasy games have always been turn based, turn based gameplay is when you have 3 or 4 of your charcters on one side of the field, while there are 3 0r 4 enemies on the other side. When its your turn you can attack and use items and whatnot. This time the well know and prestigous company Squaresoft have decided to try something very diffrent form their usual gameplay style. Now this game uses a gameplay called Tactical gameplay. This is very much like chess but it isnt as limited. Instead of peices you use people. Note that this kind of gameplay isnt for everyone. You have five c...
Great job classes, good learning system, the cheapness(like using scream over and over again), the battle system, tough battles throughout the game, deep story, awesome characters. The bad:
The cheapness(like using scream over and over again), the battle system, the optional characters can end up pretty much taking over your partySummary:
Final fantasy tactics really is one of the best final fantasys that I've played. The story is complex and I recommend playing the game a second time just to absorb more of it.
Moving around the world map is easy. As you go further into the story, more and more places will appear on the world map as dots and you can select a dot to go to. If you know the name of a place you want to go, you can just go to a menu and select that name and you will go to it. Random battles still occur on the world map though. If you're going to another place, you will have to follow a path of dots to get to it. o...
Final Fantasy Tactics is a strategic RPG for the PSX that spawned from the Final Fantasy franchise. FFT incorporated many new elements to the series that have not been seen from any FF game or for many tactical RPGs of it's time and really made the game in my opinion one of the best of the series.
First off the story, this is one of the deepest stories I experienced in my opinion. Mind you this game was done back in 98, back then there were not many games with such stories like this. You play as Ramza Belouve, a well respected young man from a noble family of knights. It's the start of t...
The graphics are great, the sounds are good, the music is ok but original, the gameplay is great better than the gameboy advance version, the abilities are cool because there is alot of magics, weapons, armors, and lots of stuff that have to do with the abilities. The bad:
There really nothing wrong with this game except it's very difficult to play when it's hard.Summary:
This game is really cool. I like it a lot better than Final Fantasy VIII, IX, and the Gameboy Advance version of tactics. People sould play this game more often than the Gameboy Advance version. An old game came out on 1998, still great. Well... at least it's better than VIII, IX, and Advance version.
Numerous jobs/classes for you to utilize and learn tons of different skills. Sidequests which are fun and challenging give you new equipment. The bad:
3/4 into the game you get a character called Cid who is insanely powerful. Not a hidden character, but you're given him. Made the game insanely easy if you choose to use him. 1 Disc Only and I just wished there was more to do in the game overall. Horrible translation in parts also.Summary:
I have to leave some more comments in order for this review to be complete, so all I can say is that if you do get this game and enjoy it, I reccomend Disgaea and La Pucelle Tactics for PSX2...Jeez, more comments are needed. So ..hmm, go check out Ogre Battle for Super Nintendo also if you like FFT. Yeah so so so yeh yeah fire fire
Let me start off by saying that when I first rented this game, I was just about ready to smash it. I go to the video store, I pick up Alundra and, ooh, there's FF Tactics. So I get it, too, and after playing it about a half hour and being utterly decimated, I take it out and pop in Alundra. Well, I go to Wal-Mart, and when I come back, I decide to play FF Tactics to see if I can figure anything out. I get killed a couple more times, then... BOOM! I start getting it.
Now, if you don't like strategy games, and don't have some fair amount of patience, DO NOT play this game. If, however, you en...
