Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy IV, and is set 17 years after the events of the classic RPG originally released for the Super Nintendo in 1991. The second moon mysteriously reappears closer in orbit than ever before to the Blue Planet, and the original heroes of FFIV as well as their descendants must investigate the meaning behind this and how it could relate to the return of monsters.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years on PC is based on the smart device versions of the game, featuring 3D graphics based on the DS remake of FFIV. The After Years was originally released as an episodic game in 2008, with all episodes bundled into one full game for future re-releases. These episodes encompass a total of ten adventures featuring classic and all-new characters from the world of FFIV.
This game is also known as Final Fantasy IV: The After Years -Tsuki no Kikan- in Japan.
