[edit] Introduction
Welcome to our Fallout 4 Walkthrough. This Guide for Bethesda Software's next chapter of the celebrated Fallout Adventure Series offers you a narrative-based walkthrough in which you, the player, can dip-in and out as needed, in order to solve the following dilemmas and issues:
1. Clarify the Story for the place you are at in it;
2. Better appreciate the challenges you face;
3. Obtain details about something that just happened you do not quite understand;
4. Solving any general confusion;
5. Making sure that you don't miss anything - especially for collecting resources!
There are a LOT of other reasons - suffice it to say that we cover the above AND all of the other reasons, and we do it in an entertaining and informative manner... Wait, we should emphasize that... This Walkthrough is Entertaining!
[edit] The Walkthrough Structure
What you are about to experience is a Narrative-based Walkthrough that will direct your attention to any number of in-game events, objects, resources, and the like, as well as help define and explain encounters you may have, and also provide you with guidance for flagging quests - of which there are a lot!
As you travel through each section of the guide we will highlight Quest Givers who will allow you Flag quests that are outside of the main Quests and Missions System. Basically this will prevent you from missing any desirable quests that are of the Optional variety.
We also cover the main quests and missions - of course.
All of that is referenced both in this Walkthrough Section AND in specialized and detailed sections for each of the activities that provide in-depth and detailed information that you can look up as needed to help make your game play experience more complete.
Official Sex Disclaimer: We opted to play through Fallout 4 as a male character, so the narrative of the Walkthrough is structured from a male point-of-view. If you decide to go the female route, you will need to replace words like him, his, etc. with the feminine in your mind. Because hey, we are not going to do that for you.
[edit] About Fallout 4
The Neoseeker Unofficial Guide and Walkthrough for Fallout 4 - or as we like to think of it: Fallout Foah - Hella Wicked Pissa Edition! (thanks to Crazy Boris Productions and their most excellent “Unofficial Fallout 4 Trailer - which you can view on YouTube and we highly recommend you do!).
This fourth chapter in the Fallout saga is set in Boston, which is practically in our back yard! Well, maybe a distant backyard from Cape Cod but, considering all of the time we have spent there in previous jobs and the like, practically in our backyard.
The point to this is that the game world was going to show us places we knew well. Iconic landmarks that are as familiar to us as the town park is to you in your town. We were in a perfect position to judge how well they did. Or were we?
We started a new game... And the familiar narration began:
“War. War never changes...”
Yup, this is Fallout!
That is okay though - because that sets the score and the scene for this, the fifth official game in the main Fallout Series.
[edit] About This Guide
As you settle in to make use of this guide we wanted to tell you a little about it - how we made it - and why it is organized the way that it is.
The primary structure of this guide is a narrated walkthrough. We basically tell you what you will do, do it, then tell you what we did.
Along the way we highlight important items or events, provide lists and mini-guides for special areas, quests, or sections, and along the way impart much of what it means to play in this world of Boston of the future-past.
We need for you to understand that the purpose of this is NOT to provide you a step-by-step set of instructions that you can use to get through the story - though you can in fact use it that way! But that was not our intention.
No, our intention is and was to provide you with a complete walkthrough narrative that allows you to dip in and out as you need to, in order to enhance your game play and make it better. More complete.
One example for its proper use might be that you had to stop playing for a few days, and now that you are back, you need to refresh your mind on just what you were doing. This guide will allow you to do that.
Another example - you did not hear or understand the setup for the story or quest - so you can drop in to that section of this guide and bam! You now know which way is up! Yes, it does that.
Still another example - you want to complete the story in the best order you can - well yeah, this guide will help you do that too.
In the end though, we meant this to be used as what it is - a guide. A helpful one to be sure, but it was not meant to replace the awe and the wonder you experience as you play - and discover - this Boston - on your own.
So yeah... That needed saying.
In addition to all that there are some value-added elements here too. We offer tips, hints, advice and strategies.
There are some bonus sections for the vast majority of you who have never been to Boston or Massachusetts and have no idea what the jokes are, or what things mean as laid out in the game. So we share some of that with you.
In the end, we try to be as helpful to you, the reader, as we can. How could we do any different?
Well, there you have it. That was the Introduction to the Walkthrough Section of our Guide to Fallout 4. So hey, go play! Have fun! This is a fun game! Fun!!
Cheers Mates!
