Enzai: Falsely Accused review
A great game for S&M fans!

The good:

The background music always fits the mood well and has good sound quality. The pictures are detailed and uncensored. There are 11 (ending 10{final ending} has two versions) different endings to the game that each tell a very different story. The characters are realistic and cover a variety of personalities from the insane Belbet to the weak and kind hearted Io.

The bad:

The graphics don't move much it just switches between different still pictures.

Summary:

This is not a game for the weak of heart! As I said in the title it is S&M so it's bloody and sadistic. Also some may consider it shota because even though in America it is claimed all characters are eighteen or older it isn't true at all some of the inmates including Guys (the protagonist) and Io are only teenagers and you can tell just from looking at them, and reading the dialogue only confirms it.

The storyline always follows Guys trying to prove his innocence so he can leave prison. Some endings are good others are bad. There are 11 total, each following a different coarse in which you learn different things about certain characters and encounter different trials as you try to gather proof your innocent. To learn all there is to the story and learn all you can about each characters you must complete all the endings.

The game is played like an interactive story where the decisions you make decides what will happen to you. You are given only two choices for each one and you usually can't tell what each one will do because it's such simple things like whether to 'prepare the leather first' or "prepare the tools first' when you're getting ready to work on making shoes. Even afterwards it takes awhile before you realize how it affects the story you may not even know until you play again with the other option.

The music has no vocals and fits the game's moods very well. The sound quality is very good and doesn't make the voices hard to understand. The voices are clear and fit the characters well. Though they speak in Japanese the text tells you what they say. The sound effects are good as well and they range from gun shots to the shlopping of anal sex.

The 11 endings are categorized as 1 is the good default, 2-9 are the specials which are associated with a character, and 10 versions 1 and 2 are the bad endings. Not all characters have an ending because their story gets told in another ending instead. When you finish the game it tell you the number ending you got. but only you can determine the characters a special ending belongs too. Though that is easy because you interact with that character the most and learn a lot about them.

Oh wow, I thought I was the only one to write reviews at Neoseeker for adult visual novels. Nice to see someone else submit one, even if it's not for a novel I'd actually go for.

Anyway, nice descriptions and opinions. I would suggest giving more attention to the graphics (after all, it is a visual novel. I get the whole static artwork thing but things like the CGs you get to unlock, whether the CG gallery is open from the start, what the literal character designs are like and what the HUD is like (the onscreen displays like the text box, menu options etc).

I don't know about the cg one because I beat the game in one sitting. I got Durer's ending. I never considered text boxes and whatnot to be important as long as it doesn't burn your eyes.

I even made to profil efor Absolute Obedience but it won't let me put up screen shots for some reason.

Isn't that what visual novels do?

Speaking of which, goddamn, I need to try these out one of these days!

Well some have a little more movement though. It depends. If you do try one. My favorites are Enzai and Absolute Obediance.
