Mario is no stranger to extending his reach into genres outside of his platforming roots. Even as far back as the NES days he was trying out alternative activities. Dr Mario sees him donning a white coat and grabbing his signature megavitamins to exterminate a new threat - a bunch of coloured viruses.
At first glance it's easy to dismiss this as a Tetris clone. The play field and falling blocks are quite famaliar to that classic puzzler. However, I feel that it's unfair to label it as such. The overall goals are much different from that puzzle title, so I feel it should be able to stand on i...
The multiplayer mode can become quite addictive if you like this puzzle style, but it will become old. Just as this constantly rehashed franchise has.
R-e-h-a-s-h. The title screen is about the most appealing as the presentation gets. It's not pretty, but on a more pleasant note the menus are very intuitive. If that means anything.
Very outdated graphics that could have easily been done five years ago.
About five MIDI tracks that loop themes you can whistle in under thirty seconds.
Most people won't give a hoot about any mode outside of multiplayer. This thing reeks of old age. 5.0
Overall, don't get this game unless you have 4 players who love puzzle games. Then you should rent it .
