A DOA: Ultimate Review

The good:

More costumes for all the characters.
New and improved levels to battle in.
The online modes in both games.
An extra character add to the game.
Better graphics than the last DOA.

The bad:

DOA1:U graphics weren't enhanced like DOA2:U was.
Some of the previous levels in DOA2:Hardcore are not featured in the game.
No downloadable content.

Summary:

Dead or Alive Ultimate is the latest edition to the Dead or Alive series. The game comes with two discs which contain DOA and a revamped DOA2: Hardcore.

There nothing really much to say about DOA1: Ultimate as nothing has really been done to the game, i think theres a couple of new costumes and the new online mode which allows you to fight other plays online.

As for DOA2: Ultimate, Tecmo have upgraded DOA2: Hardcore if you wish to say that. It has more costumes to unlock for all the characters, Hitomi from DOA3 has been added as a unlockable character. As well as Hitomi two other characters c...

DOAU

The good:

Graphics, costumes, story mode cutseens, playable modes, online for DOA, CG gallery, booster disk, and beautiful landscapes.

The bad:

well, i've got none! Do you?

You better not.........................................

Summary:

DOAU shows rich content including great design on the characters, beautiful landscapes, open-minded costumes, and powerful phrases and story mode cutseens.

I love the way each, or most of the levels, have hidden parts that packs more of a punch on your opponent.

The graphics are better than any game i've seen before, and it shows that Xbox is by far one of teh best game systems in the world.

The costumes describe the characters fashion and history. For example: Ayane's ninja clothes show her ninja self and Kasumi's school girl outfits describe that she goes to school. And, on the other hand, s...

It's DOA 2 only upgraded.

The good:

A variety of characters to choose from.

Lots of costumes to unlock.

Good replay value.

Great graphics

The DOA3 Booster disc is include (You heard me)

The bad:

DOA 1 is included and they didn't upgrade it.

Summary:

Difficulty: Medium

This review will be mostly about DOA2U since DOA1U is just a bonus. (Why do the call it DOA1 "Ultimate" if they didn't add anything?) Anyway this game has 3 unlockable characters who are Hitomi, Bayman and Tengu who are worth unlocking.

DOA2U offers some replay value as you also have an option to unlock all costumes. Som costumes are bikinis which some of you will either like or not like. The graphics in this game are probably the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game. If I had to rate this game for graphics alone I would give it a 5/5 or 10/10. DOA or fighting game ...

Ultimate DOA? It just might be!

The good:

2 games for the price of 1. Includes the original DOA. Full compatibility with Xbox Live for both games. DOA 2 Ultimate's graphics and gameplay are even better than DOA 3. Lots of secrets to unlock. Even more interactive environments. And of course, the girls of DOA are even more irresistible in Ultimate 2 than ever before!

The bad:

CPU AI can be quite cheap at times. If you don't have DOA 3 or Xtreme Beach Volleyball you can't unlock everything in 2 Ultimate.

Summary:

Billing itself as "The Ultimate DOA", this newest version brings a lot to the table to back up it's argument. First up, you actually get 2 games-while DOA 2 Ultimate's the main selling point here, they also throw in DOA 1 Ultimate free-it's an updated version of the original DOA, dating back to arcades in the 1990s with new costumes to unlock and compatibility with Xbox Live. 1 Ultimate pales in comparision to 2, looking more like Virtua Fighter (that was the time when this game came out) but is still fun to play and a nice little freebie for both DOA and classic arcade game fans.
The game's...
