Counter-Strike: Global Offensive User Reviews

9.0

Counter-Strike... On the console?!

The good:

- The frantic Counter-Strike gameplay we all know and love
- Compatible with many different control schemes, including mouse-and-keyboard
- Extremely balanced weapon pool (for the most part)
- A solid mix of classic and new maps/game modes
- Cleverly designed and balanced maps
- Great visuals for a downloadable game
> Excellent detail and animations on the weapon and character models
- An extremely high skill ceiling and an easy-to-get-used-to game engine give both newcomers and veterans something to get out of the game
> A tutorial mode is provided as well
- Realistic (and immensely satisfying) sound effects
- Intelligent bots simulate what a real person would play like
- $15.00! You can't go wrong with a price like that.

The bad:

- PC version leaves a lot to be desired
- No way to create private lobbies, playing with friends is complicated
- Occasional hitbox and lag issues
- You're going to be seeing a lot of idiots out there...

Summary:

Here's a refresher course: Counter-Strike is a tactical-centered first person shooter which has two teams; the counter-terrorists and the terrorists. These teams each have their own unique objectives for each different game mode. Players will have to use map knowledge, their arsenal, and their skill to the greatest extent in order to win.

The name of the game and what I would say is what the series...
