[edit] Background

Alucard of Castlevania III for the NES returns to do battle with his immortal father Count Dracula once again. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night mixes the series' classic gothic side-scrolling elements with Metroid's exploration-based gameplay. Explore the dark castle of Dracula and take on its horrible foes to find relics and items that will aid you. As you are half-vampiric, discover ways to harness black magic and shapeshifting abilities.

[edit] Features

  • Two versions: Play the original version of the game or experience it in enhanced mode with improved graphics and modernized audio and sound effects.
  • Non-linear gameplay: Collect items, weapons and armor to defeat the powerful boss monsters that block access to key areas of the castle.
  • Xbox 360 enhancements: Earn 12 achievements and 200 Gamerscore points, and check the top players with the online leaderboards.

This game is also known as Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku in Japan.
