I need ammo and not another tank ride!

The good:

  • Graphics
  • Soundtrack
  • The return of Moody, Foley and Ingram
  • Still playing a GI, a British soldier and a Soviet
  • New weapons
  • More vehicle action

    The bad:

  • Bazookas are difficult to use the first time
  • Tanks don't explode anymore in one rocket hit whether you've a rocket launcher or you're in a tank controlling the turret
  • The passage in the plane isn't so easy
  • Difficulty to find the third place for explosive in the lighthouse during a SAS mission
  • Difficulty to use binoculars - I needed to learn how to use them by reading a FAQ
  • As in the original game, riding a tank isn't an easy task

    Summary:

Call of Duty United Offensive is the add-on of Call of Duty, a WWII FPS. Having bought the Deluxe Edition in English (Italian was fine but I always need the French or English version after that, like with Max Payne), I could play the original one more time and its add-on.

Anyway, again, you're playing a soldier during this war in the US, British and Soviet army, as in CoD. And going with it, your weaponry is the one of your army. But instead of planting charges, destroying tanks, etc., even if these objectives are still present, you will have more passages in a vehicle. Well, the tank ride i...

    United Offensive

    The good:

    Good graphics
    Good gameplay
    Nice sound effects
    Nice weapon models

    The bad:

All automatic weapons sound nearly the same
    Short single player campaign
Gets repetetive after a week or so
    Unacceptable storyline

    Summary:

This game is a great expansion pack, I actually enjoyed the single player missions, as they were all well laid-out, and it was obvious that some thought went into the AI. The main selling feature of this game is that you fight with your comrades. Unlike other FPS games, you don't get inserted into the middle of an enemy base on your own, to blow up a few radios and kill some rogue general. No, this game is all about fighting as a team. But it also has its bad sides. Aren't games like this supposed to have some sort of storyline? Well this one doesn't. As I was playing through the missions, ...

    The Call is Heard!

    The good:

    - Great Gameplay
    - Excellent Multiplayer
    - New Addditions
    - Shocking Graphics
    - Realistic Sounds
    - Sweet Singleplayer

    The bad:

    - Some Long Load Times
    - Demanding

    Summary:

Call of Duty: United Offensive is the 2nd installment of the Call of Duty franchise. This time, it was developed by Gray Matter instead of Infinity Ward, so we did recieve (as well as expect) some surprises from the game.

We first start off as an American paratrooper, but this time you play as Private Riley, not Private Martin. You are still in the Battle of the Bulge and complete the campaign until you continue on to the British in 1945 bombing Rotterdam and the Soviets locked in the battle of Kursk and Kharkov.

The multiplayer adds over 10 new weapons, over 5 new vehichles and loads of new ...
