Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2

The good:

Good selection of riders to choose from, jaw droppingly crazy stunts, pretty big maps, creat-a-park mode is detailed and very fun to use, proquest is one of the many highlights of the game.

The bad:

A few bikes handle like hell, graphics are terrible, some missions will make you tear your hair out, the camera moves around like it's had a few too many drinks, you can't level yourself out unless you're not on a flat terrain.

Summary:

Most people flame this game due to the fact that it's a Tony Hawk rip off. I strongly disagree, it may be a few years old now (12 years to be exact) but it plays suprisingly well after all these years. With some pro bikers to play with, 10 vast levels, well over 100 tricks to pull off, multiplayer functions and a create-a-park. It's not without it's flaws, like an evil camera, horrendous visuals and stupid missions. Most of these flaws are quite minor so they won't get in your way. The 10 levels are Woodward camp, Trainyards, Swamp trails, Community district, Greenville NC, Galloon water pa...

Don't waste your bucks on this BMX blooper!

The good:

- Nice and interesting looking tricks
- Graphics are OK
- Good variety of characters
- Hilarious crashes

The bad:

- Controls are very hard to manage.
- Crashing is very consistent.
- Very, very glitchy.
- The courses are not varied.
- The challenges are just plain hard.
- Repetitive and boring

Summary:

I love playing BMX games, but this is definitely one that I would not buy again if I had the choice. There are several flaws with it.

CONTROLS: The controls on this game are terrible. Steering the bike, which you do by just pushing the analog stick where you want to go, is very frustrating. Or you can steer using the directional pad, which is even harder. Once you get your character going on his bike, it is impossible to slow down unless you come to a full stop or crash into something. Jumping is ok, but still a bit lame. To jump, press the X button. For a higher jump press, hold and releas...

PS2 BMX games suck balls

The good:

The trick system. Nice Graphics.

The bad:

Horrible slow floating physics, ridiculous tricks. Poorly designed bad levels. Difficult challenges (do a 1080)

Summary:

GRAPHICS: 7/10 It looks nice on the people yes. Quarter pipes now look a whole heap worse than the original with an ugly Kink in the middle. Ugly cars,
PHYSICS: 2/10 Too unrealistic. The whole damn game's in slow mo with moon physics. You can fire off stuff like double whip 720's with ease. Which is fun enough, but The original which was still "game" unrealistic was less crazy and in my mind more enjoyable. This is disgusting.
TRICKS: 10/10 This is where the dave mirra's excel over the Mat Hoffman games. There is more tricks than in any other game by at least 1000. Great sytem but gets rid of...

A Normal BMXing Game

The good:

The gameplay is fun, you could do tricks and grind nearly everything. Cool courses, many bikers.

The bad:

The graphics aren't very good, the gameplay can get boring after a while. You could go through walls and stuff, and it can get odd at numerous times.

Summary:

The gameplay is OK if you ask me. But it's fun to do the tricks and such. The courses are cool, as you travel to some countries. The graphics can get screwy at times and the gameplay gets boring after a while. There's multiple glitches that are quite ... odd. The courses are pretty big too. There's a nice amount of goals. They get challenging as you progress through the game. You could interact with nearly everything! It's not really realistic if you ask me though. (There's a go-kart that's a third of your size =P) If you're looking for a BMX game, this would satisfy a portion of your desir...

Huge Levels, Little Game

Summary:

In Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX2 (Gamecube), you have 8 huge, fully open levels with lots of challenges to pass the time. There are 13 (I think) playable characters, plus a couple of bonus characters. You can also make your own park. The overall game doesn't use much memory but there's a good reason for that...there isn't much to the game. The goals are seemingly pointless and the controls and sounds are a nightmare. Plus the levels aren't very detailed. I will admit that there are a lot of tricks though. That's the main reason it got the ".3" added onto the score.

My favorite part of t...
