One Time Wonder

The good:

-Like any other RPG, lots of customizations
-Graphics are XBox-quality
-Really fun the first time you play it

The bad:

-Really fun the FIRST time you play it
-Don't blocked off areas just piss you off?

Summary:

Again, this review is a little late, by about 3 years, but I still have to add my comments on this game. The truth is, I loved it the first time I played it, and by the second time I was playing it, I got annoyed. This game is truly a rental game at best, since its replay value sucks. But the actual game itself is great. The storyline is lacking, but the constant fighting is there. And like other RPGs, its addictive until you beat it. You will be constantly trying to level up, get better armor and weapons, and also killing the hordes of enemies at the same time. Its like any other hack-and-...

RPG, Hack 'n' Slash

The good:

~The graphics
~The game play
~The length
~Co-op mode
~The characters

The bad:

~Dumb AI
~Sometimes repetitive
~Extremely linear

Summary:

Gamecube has another great RPG game for you to play, lots of RPG's = lots of fun. The game starts you off with the choice of 3 different and unique characters. These characters are the Arcane Archer, Dwarven fighter and an Elvin sorceress. After completing the game with one of these characters you can go back to the start and play the game over with the same character or chose another one. This adds to the lastibility of the game.

The graphics are out standing considering how old the game is. Though the unfortunate thing is the camera angles, which really don't give you a chance to marvel at...

Summary:

Well this game actually turned out to be a success on of the xbox. The past games originated from the PC and PS2 and finally made its way to the xbox. I am pleased to have another excellent RPG game to play.

Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance rocks the kazba

The good:

Free roaming "rpg" like game. Lots of enemies, weapons, armor, anything else. Move the camera yourself

The bad:

Sometimes you CANT move the camera. If you play for a straight time period, i could imagine it getting boring.

Summary:

All in all, most people should like this game. 4 Different characters, tons of enemys, lots of quest type mini-missions. I call it an Rpg because you take the roll of one of the characters and hit and they hit you, kind of like one. So if you like Zelda, FF, Dungeon's and dragons and Diablo, get this game. This game does take a while to complete, and if you get all the weapons, i congradulate you! its worth the price ($19.99 in Cdn) so you should go out and pick it up. So relatively your paying $20 for a game you SHOULD enjoy for quite a while. You dont have to be the best video game player...
