1.                                Introduction

This is the fourth in a series of eight planned adventures in the Ben Jordan:
Paranormal Investigator series. The games can be downloaded for free from the
developer's home page (http://www.grundislavgames.com/benjordan). In this game,
Ben travels to London to investigate reports of a ghost at Number 50, Berkeley
Square. After arriving at the house, he finds that four other people have been
summoned to investigate the ghost as well. As strange events begin to occur in
the house, the small group have to work together to solve the mystery.

2.                                Walkthrough

===============================================================================


DAY 1
-----

The game starts in the lobby of Number 50, where Miggs will introduce everyone.
When it is Ben's turn to introduce himself, select any option. The others will
then all leave the room. Use the cellphone and dial 020 4469 0976 to call
Percy. Ask about research: He asks Ben what he would like him to research. Ask
about house history: He tells Ben he will ring if he finds anything out.

Walk upstairs, then continue right and go upstairs again to the third floor.
Open the white doors to enter the travel room, then open the door on the left
to enter the storeroom. Use the box to find a pair of old scissors. Exit the
travel room. Open the right door, then open the door at the top of the stairs
to see Simon. Ask Simon about the door: He needs a tool to break the padlock.

Go downstairs to the second floor and open the second door on the right to
enter Ben's room. Open the nightstand to get the contact info for Miggs. Exit
Ben's room and knock on the first door on the left to see Otto. Ask Otto about
a lockpick: He tells Ben to contact someone who knows more about the house.
Exit Otto's room. Use the cellphone and dial 020 7428 4800 to call Miggs. Ask
about Number 50: He dropped his scissors in the storeroom. Ask about the locked
door: A key to the door may be in the lobby, the stairwell or the travel room.

Go downstairs to the lobby. Get the books on the fourth shelf at the left side
of the bookcase to get the fake book "The Key to Her Heart". Go upstairs to the
fourth floor. Combine the scissors with the book to find the key. Use the key
on the padlock: Just before Ben can open the door, a scream is heard from
downstairs. They go to the second floor to discover that Tilly had a nightmare.
Simon tells everyone to meet in the travel room in an hour's time.

Exit Ben's room and go upstairs to the fourth floor: Simon tells Ben that the
key is missing. Go downstairs to the second floor and knock on the first door
on the right to enter Alice's room. Ask Alice about herself: She is studying
parapsychology at Harvard. Ask about Madame Tilly's nightmare: She is not sure
where the hidden room is that Tilly mentioned. Ask about the locked door: She
says that the ghost may have hidden it somewhere. Stop talking to Alice and Ben
will hear a yell from Simon's room. Exit Alice's room.

Enter Simon's room and open the bathroom door: Simon says that blood came out
of the shower. Go downstairs to the lobby and use the rug to reveal a trapdoor.
Use the cellphone and dial 020 7428 4800 to call Miggs. Ask about the trapdoor:
He had no idea that there was a trapdoor under the rug. Go upstairs and knock
on the first door on the left to enter Otto's room. Ask Otto about Madame
Tilly's nightmare: He is not certain where she had a vision or a nightmare.
Tell Otto about the meeting: He will come to the meeting. Exit Otto's room.

Knock on the first door on the right to enter Alice's room. Tell her about the
meeting: She will be there in a few minutes. Exit Alice's room. Go upstairs to
the third floor and enter the travel room to begin the meeting. Tilly suggests
that a seance should be held tomorrow evening. When Simon asks if he would like
to stay after the meeting, choose to hang out with Simon and Alice as this will
award five points. If Ben goes straight to bed, no points are given.


DAY 2
-----

Ben wakes up and hears a knock at his door: Tilly enters the room and tells Ben
that for the seance she needs a personal item, some blood and a sample of fire.
Exit the bedroom. Knock on the middle door to enter Simon's room. Ask Simon
about last night: Ben says he would like to work with him in the future. Open
the bathroom door. Open the cabinet to get the toilet cleaner. Exit Simon's
room and knock on the first door on the right to enter Alice's room.

Ask Alice about the seance: Her element was water. Ask about last night: The
three of them have a lot in common. Enter the bathroom and use the toilet to
see a close view of the tank. Open the toilet top and use the toilet cleaner on
the grime. Use the mechanism to drain the water, then get the silver key. Exit
Alice's room. Use the cellphone and dial 020 4469 0976 to call Percy. Ask about
personal items: He asks Ben which item he wants. Mention the ring: Percy says
that he will drop the ring off at the house as soon as he can. Go downstairs to
the lobby to hear a knock at the door: Percy gives the ring to Ben.

Use the silver key on the trapdoor to open it. Go down to the basement and open
the cabinet to get the wax candle and the box of matches. Walk upstairs to the
third floor and open the white doors to enter the travel room. Ask Tilly about
herself: She is a seer that has been blessed with The Sight. Ask about The
Sight: It enables her to detect things nobody else can. Ask about the other
investigators: She asks Ben who he would like to know about. Ask about Alice
Wilkins: She is in tune with herself. Ask about Simon Booth: He is brave but
reckless. Ask about Otto Schneider: Something in his past haunts him.

Use the scissors on Ben to put some blood in the empty jar. Combine the matches
with the candle to light it. Give the ring, jar of blood and lit candle to
Tilly to enter the seance room. After the others explain their personal items,
show the ring to Tilly. In the seance, Tilly summons one of the ghosts in the
house: The ghost explains he was attacked by the Horror and fell to his death.
He says that there are four other ghosts in the house, and that everyone should
leave to avoid the wrath of the Horror. After the seance, Ben returns to the
travel room with Alice and Simon. When Otto enters the room, they all agree
that the next step is to hold an exorcism. Otto says he will research the steps
that are required to exorcise the Horror from the house.


DAY 3
-----

Exit Ben's room to talk to Simon: A new door has appeared. Knock on the first
door on the left to enter Otto's room. Talk to Otto about the research: It is
going well. Exit Otto's room and knock on the first door on the right to enter
Alice's room. Talk to Alice about Simon: She says that Ben should talk to him.
Exit Alice's room and go upstairs to the fourth floor.

Ask Simon if he's okay: He mentions the new door. Suggest exploration: Ben and
Simon travel to the new room. As Ben waits near the door, Simon ventures into
the room and doesn't return. Walk to the right side of the room to see that
Simon has vanished. Walk back to the left side of the room to see that the door
has vanished as well. Return to the right side of the room and go through the
new door to enter a massive room. Open the right door to enter a room with
three doors. Open one of the doors: If it is the wrong one, Ben will return to
the dark room. Return to the room with the three doors and try a different
door. Keep trying the doors until Ben returns to the second floor hall.

Back in the hall, Ben tells Alice about Simon's disappearance: They both enter
Otto's room and tell him about Simon as well. Alice stays with Otto to help
with the research while Ben leaves the room. Enter Ben's room to talk to Percy
on the phone: He mentions that some of the windows in the house are false. Open
the window and climb out onto the windowsill. Get the drainpipe. Climb back
through the window and exit Ben's room. Walk upstairs to the fourth floor.

Use the pipe on the padlock to break open the door. Return to the second floor
and knock on the first door on the left to enter Otto's room. Knock on the door
to return to Otto's room. Ask Otto about the ghost explulsion: He explains the
method that will be used on the ghost. Ask about Simon: He tells Ben that he is
not responsible for Simon's disappearance. Mention the top floor room: They go
upstairs to the room. The ghost that possesses Tilly enters the room, throws
Alice out the window and starts choking Otto. Pull the rope at the right side
of the room to ring the bell, then use the pipe on Tilly to complete the game.

3.                                 Item List

===============================================================================


"BOOK"
  After talking to Miggs about the locked door, the fake book is found on the
  fourth shelf at the left side of the bookcase in the lobby. The scissors are
  combined with the "book" to find the key.


CANDLE
  Found in the cabinet in the basement on day 2. The matches are combined with
  the candle to make the lit candle.


CELLPHONE
  Available at the start of the game. It is used to call Percy and Miggs.


CONTACT INFO
  Found in the nightstand in Ben's room. It shows the phone number for Miggs.


EMPTY JAR
  After the toilet cleaner has been used on the grime in the toilet tank in
  Alice's bathroom. It is used to collect the blood after Ben uses the scissors
  on himself on day 2.


JAR OF BLOOD
  Found by using the scissors on Ben on day 2. It is given to Tilly.


KEY
  Found by combining the scissors with the "book". It is used on the padlock on
  the door on the fourth floor.


LIT CANDLE
  Made by combining the matches with the candle. It is given to Tilly.


MATCHES
  Found in the cabinet in the basement on day 2. They are combined with the
  candle to make the lit candle.


PIPE
  Found by using the drainpipe on the windowsill outside Ben's room on day 2.
  This can only be done after Ben has received the phone call from Percy about
  the windows. It is used on the padlock on the door on the fourth floor. After
  the ghost that possesses Tilly has appeared in the fourth floor room and the
  rope in the room has been pulled, the pipe is used on Tilly.


RING
  After Ben calls Percy on day 2 and asks about the ring, he can then get the
  ring from Percy in the lobby. It is shown to Tilly in the travel room. It is
  again shown to Tilly in the seance.


SCISSORS
  Found in the box in the storeroom. They are combined with the "book" to find
  the key. They are used on Ben on day 2 to get the blood in the jar.


SILVER KEY
  After the toilet cleaner has been used on the grime in the toilet tank in
  Alice's bathroom, the silver key is found after the mechanism has been used.
  It is used on the trapdoor in the lobby.


TOILET CLEANER
  Found in the cabinet in Simon's bathroom on day 2. It is used on the grime in
  the toilet tank in Alice's bathroom.
