All-Star Baseball 2003 User Reviews
The graphics are decent, but too many glitches, and too many field errors hurt this game in big ways. Sound is great, and really the only promising factor. The bad:
Mainly everything else. Pitchers can't last that long, and the season mode, along with the trades are absolutely awful.Summary:
I had this game for only two weeks, and I regret even getting it as a bargain. This game, even though a little improved from 2002's version, still is a game that if you have, keep on the shelf, otherwise sell it immediately. Good Commentery, though. The only real strong point of this. I warn you that only absolute hardcore baseball fans would even think about renting this. Replay Value is promising, but the ball seems to dissapear too many times while trying to catch it. Graphics, though, is somewhat of a plus. A much needed improvement, but that still can't help the many flaws that this ga...
Some of the game modes in this game include: Exhibition, Season, Career, All-star game, Series, Manager, Home run derby and batting pratice.
Franchise mode is a total of 20 years and in those 20 years you can either build your team from scratch or just make it a high budget team. Franchise mode is the best feature in this game and this was the only mode I played throughout this game. It does not get boring at all and if you don't want to play, just make trades and simulate so then you can just act as the G.M if the team. Pretty fascinating and All-Star baseball really made this feature stand out and make it look good.
Other good in this game was the graphics. Absolutely amazing graphics and it is by far the best graphics I've seen for a baseball game. The players looked very realistic and there batting stances were the exact same as in real life, pretty amazing you could say.
Controls. I found the controls to be very simplistic, but good. I hate playing baseball games with controls that are very hard to get used to and play with. Playing this game, I found no problem with the controls and it was easy to adjust to this game very quickly.
Camera angel. There was only one type of camera angel for this game and that made me a bit mad. It gets quite a bit boring when you play this game all the time and only one camera angel can be used.
Batting. I found that when you bat most of the time, it is very hard to hit home runs. In the previous All-star baseball games, it was much easier to hit home runs. Now, I'm not saying I have a problem with the difficulty since that is very important in a game, but you can get kind of fustrated when you get infield hits about 85% of the time.
The best All-Star baseball game by far and if your into graphics and having fun with buds, be sure to at least take a look at this game.
Great graphics, good gameplay, lots of modes to choose from, beginner friendly, realistic, accurate batting lineups, accurate statistical information for every player...The bad:
Batting takes some getting used to...Summary:
If you are looking for one baseball game to go into your collection then this should be the one. As a huge baseball fan myself, I found this game extremely addictive and didn't want to stop until I finished the entire 162 game season and then the playoffs. This game has got it all. Its got several modes to choose from(batting pracice, tutorials, homerun derby, season, and a few others). The only real problem I had with it was batting. It definitely takes some getting used to. You have to be very quick and accurate when batting because if you make even the smallest mistake, you miss th...

HARD TO HIT THE BALL!Summary:
This is easily one of the best sports games I have ever played, not to mention baseball! Its not a run up the score in 5 seconds game this games final scores are very realistic. In Create a player its not a game where you get all the points you want to make an amazing player, you are limited to what you can do. The reward system inside the game is great, you earn points by performing certain goals in games once you get enough points you buy a pack of cards which will unlock things ex. Throwback Jerseys, old stadiums, etc. Batting entrances and stances are incredibly accurate acording to the...
General/Summary: I didn't like this game much. I own All Star Baseball '00, '01, '02 for N64 and I think they are excellent games, and figuring these would be similar to XBOX All Star Baseball - Boy was I wrong! XBOX All Star Baseball is a good flight of stairs lower than any other preceeding All Star Baseball game.
Gameplay: Wasn't too good. If you try to put the pitching aid on you don't see the aid till the ball crosses the plate. Once you figure out that you can't control where you want to hit the ball you decide the turn easy swing on, or whatever it's called. All that does for you is m...
This game is perfect. The designers of games have made yet another of many perfect games. This game has neat graphics, cool characters, neat stages, great new features, it has pretty much everything in this game, it is lacking absolutely nothing in any way whatsoever. I would recommend this game to anybody who really likes baseball games.
