Animal Crossing: Wild World User Reviews
One reason to buy a DS! Animal Crossing Wild World! This game is all about fun. No objectives, no deadline and no timers, just pure fun where you can do whatever you want without worrying about failing at any part of it.
Create your own little virtual world with unlimited possibilities. There is no real goal to this game besides living a virtual life, although paying off your home loan to Tom Nook is a focus for most players. In order to earn money to pay off your debt and pay for other things you can do a number of activities; these include fishing, bug catching, fossil searching and even b...
Freedom with no "goal".
Realistic tasks with plenty to do.
Working out your motivations yourself.
No goal can lead to boredom easily.
A "high maintenance" game.
Can be unrealistic in places.
Collecting snow furniture.
Limited NPC personalities.
I love this game. When people talk about it critcally around me, I can't help but start to defend it. It's lively, enjoyable and utterly addictive. I've recommended it to many of my friends as I love it so much.
I really like the fact that, as a player, you are THE most important thing in the game. I know that sounds a bit weird, but it may make sense to some people. You feel "included" in the game; in other words, you are PART OF the game, NOT just the player. Through this there is a lot of freedom throughout the game, as there is no direct "goal" but instead do what you want to do. However...
There are many fun things to do in "Animal Crossing: Wild World". You can let your real friends come in to your town, or you can go into their's! You can buy furniture for your house, and expand your house. You can buy clothes for your character, you can display clothes in your house, and you can even design your own clothes. Later on in the game, when you get the 3rd remodeling for Tom Nook's shop, you can get your hair done!
You can interact with cpu's, get furniture from cpu's and much, much more. There are contests, like the Flower Fest, Bug-Off, Fish- Off, and the Acorn Festival. There are many minor contests like La-Di-Day,and Yay Day, but some other events are the Flea Market, and of course, your birthday!
You can always make friends on this game. You're never lonely with the same old people- Lots of them move out, and plenty new ones move in!
Though the game is fun, there are many annoying parts of it. if I were you, I would save the game before you turn the power off. If you don't, the most annoying thing happens. Mr. Resetti, the mole, starts yelling at you and it takes a while for him to go away.
Another thing that's annoying is whenever you go to a store, or you leave a store, the owners always talk to you. Whenever you send a message with a question to a cpu, it's so annoying when they say, "Oh, your letter was so touching," or "Thank you so much. I wouldn't have survived without your letter!"
Two last negative parts- When you don't play your game for a while, you get weeds all over your town. Last negative part: You can't do anything until you complete a stupid part-time job for Tom Nook.
Although there are many ups and downs of the game, it is still fun to play. It's easy to get around the annoying parts when the game is overloaded with good parts. I'm still hooked on the game.
When I first bought the game, I thought it was O.K. When my sister had to go to the hospital, I lost the cartridge in the waiting room seat. After that, I got the sudden urge to play "Animal Crossing". I made my mom get me "Animal Crossing: City Folk" for wii. It just wasn't the same. Finally, I got the urge to buy "Animal Crossing: Wild World" again. Ever since then, I've been totally hooked on...
You can have more than one character, so everybody can play!
you can create a boy, and girl. You design clothes, fish, hunt for bugs,
pay for mortgage, talk, shoot, sell, buy, and much more.
I think they should of came up of a bigger town, house, a yard, more character slots, and TRANSPORTATION in the game.Summary:
This is still a great game. Anything bad can be topped with the good things.
I just want to know - why didn't they have any kind of transportation that your character can use? Something like a car? And why you don't have a yard in the game? Or why every character has to live in the same house as each other? Or why your house only has 5 rooms? I know it sounds like a lot, but EVERY character on the game has to share that one house. Or why you can only create 4 characters? But this game is still awesome. There're ups, and downs, but still, even with all the downs, I would recommend this to AN...
> The graphics. Of course! This game has great graphics and was made very well. As you move your character around, the screen moves with your character and hardly anything I've seen is blurry.
> The music. The music for the time and the music that you put in your house matches very well. The game has great rhythms in it's music and you have many different choices of music to choose from.
> The game-play. This game has very easy controls that you can master easily. It uses the Nintendo Wifi in which I will talk about in the comments. This game also has DS to DS communication which you can play with other people nearby.
> Real world time. In some ways, real world time is a good thing that people added to this game. You can use it for money, skipping to festivals and holidays and many other things. If you change the DS's time, Animal Crossing Wild World's time will be that date too. In my opinion, this is one thing that is very helpful.
> The sunrise, and the sunset. Time matters very much on this game. It is just like the real world's time, as the sun rises and then it sets. At about 5:30 in the morning, this game's sun starts to rise. It really lights the day up! Then at about 4:45 in the afternoon, the sun will set. Very often does a beautiful sunset appear.
There is a couple of bad things here and there.
> The holidays. This caught me unaware. In Animal Crossing Wild World, the game does not celebrate Halloween or even Thanksgiving (I think.)
> Cheats. While playing this game, I haven't noticed many cheats to either get rare stuff, a lot of money, etc. This kind of disappoints me because I like getting rare items and other awesome stuff.
> Stores. This game is really fun to play at night, but at night, the stores are closed so you can't buy anything at all.
There are very many comments on this game that I would like to talk about.
Customization is one. In this game, customization is probably one of the most detailed and best things about this game. You can design your very own patterns with many different colors, and with these you can put them on the ground outside, make them your carpet or wallpaper, or even make them into hats, clothes, and umbrellas! Get over five hundred pieces of furniture to arrange in any way you can think of in your house! Turn them on to play music, or open them to look around in your drawers that you can store up to ...
- Controls are easy to use
- Game can keep you hooked for a long time
- Several house expansions for the player
- Nintendo Wi-Fi
- Plenty of characters and activities
- Resetti the Mole hounds you every time you do not save
- Game can get very repetitive over time
- Bells are very hard to obtain
- Need to add some more variety such as other things to eat other than fruits
Animal Crossing: Wild World is a very relaxing, yet challenging game. Players are free to take their time to pay off their debt without worrying about the fact of time. This game is very friendly for children and at the same time adults and teenagers will find this game to be a blast.
Controls: The touch screen feature for this game adds a lot of fun. With the stylus you can fish bugs, capture crawly critters, talk to your neighbors, create patterns, and customize your house! The DS touch screen is a great feature for this game. Of course, the buttons are also their for quicker navigation. I...
