StoryAt the young age of 7, a child named Miral was sent to the Dar Al-Tifel Institute following the death of her mother. Raised within the walls of the institute, which was founded in Jerusalem in 1948 by Hind Husseini as a home for orphaned children, she is naïve and unaware of the troubles that surround her in the outside world.
Ten years later, at the age of 17, she is assigned to teach at a refugee camp. It is here that she is awakened to the reality of the struggles of her people. She falls for a political activist named Hani, which puts herself in a position in which she is torn. Torn between the fight for her people's future, and the belief of Mama Hind's: that education is the road to peace.
