Angelbird SSD wrk 256GB Review reported at 02:45 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Guru3D
Article Quote:
"We give the 256GB WRK our recommended award as it offers a nicely balanced ratio in-between performance, quality and price. Read performance is very good, write performance for the 256GB model is 'okay', by todays SSD standards."

Angelbird SSD wrk 512GB Review reported at 01:54 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: PC Perspective
Article Quote:
The SSD wrk is a beautifully crafted Solid State Drive that performed admirably in our testing. Straight-line read performance from the equipped Silicon Motion 2246EN controller was the highest seen from any SATA 6Gb/s device tested to date. Random access and trace pattern testing turned in figures competitive with the best of the competition. The only issue to speak of is the limited write speeds, which put the tested 512GB model at a slight disadvantage. That write performance gap widens at 256GB and 128GB, an effect compounded by the increasing cost/GB as capacity is reduced. I would recommend the 512GB model to those looking for a high performing, aesthetically engineered SSD.

Corsair Carbide SPEC-01 Review reported at 01:50 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
All in all the SPEC 01 is a great bang for the buck case with some minor flaws. If you are not focused on perfect cable management than this Carbide SPEC 01 can be a reliable partner for your budget minded gaming rig. Though if cash permitting it might be better to opt straight for the Corsair SPEC 02/03 solutions.

Cooler Master Nepton 280L Review reported at 01:47 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
The Nepton 280L is one of the newest product offering that CM has on the market. It is also basically top dog from their product offerings. As such we expect big performance and a well designed product. And truthfully I feel that CM delivers on both of those levels. For performance, the Nepton 280L is the leader in our new style of testing. Additionally I felt that it left room for further performance to be extracted from our CPU. From an ease of use perspective I found this AIO to be second to none. It was very simple getting this installed. Even more so than some of the 120mm AIO’s we’ve tested recently. Overall the construction is great and doesn’t feel cheap and you feeling ripped off.

Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury Review reported at 01:41 PM
category: Mice     website: HardwareHeaven
Article Quote:
So that brings us to value where the mouse retails for $59.99/£49.99 which is very much midrange for a gaming mouse. What we get is a decent quality body, good performance and a nice software suite. All in all, well worth our recommended award.

Angelbird SSD wrk 512GB Review reported at 01:30 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
"With a price of $299 for the 512 GB version, the drive is neither cheap nor expensive. While it certainly sits at the lower end of the spectrum with $0.58 per GB, there are drives out there that are faster and cheaper, like the Samsung 840 EVO 500 GB and Crucial M550 512 GB. Both of these come from well-established companies, so I expect Angelbird to run into some difficulties in ramping up sales until they reduce their pricing to below $250, a price point at which the drive would certainly attract the attention of many potential buyers."

Asus Strix Pro Review reported at 01:21 PM
category: headsets     website: pcGameware.co.uk
Article Quote:
Overall the Asus Strix Pro is a mixed bag, it’s a striking headset and a bold design, but it’s not going to appeal to all (although I actually quite like it!), it’s not got the best comfort levels and it’s not got the best sound, even the ENC is a bit of a let down. Therefore the real issue is the price, at close to £90 (at the time of review) the Asus Strix Pro starts to look extremely expensive when so many others (QPAD QH-90& HyperX Cloud) do more for less.

Asus Strix Claw Review reported at 01:19 PM
category: Mice     website: pcGameware.co.uk
Article Quote:
"This may all seem very negative and to some degree I guess it is. What Asus have produced with the Strix Claw, is a Gaming mouse that generally performs very well. It just doesn’t in my eyes at least, meet the requirements of its SRRP and whilst not being a bad looking mouse, it’s just lacking that certain something that makes it desirable."

Corsair Carbide Air 240 Review reported at 12:58 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
The Corsair Air 240 is a very impressive product, it’s packed full of features that make it ideal for a high-end gaming system, it’s very nicely designed, the modding community are going to love it and it’s competitively priced. If you’re on the market for a LAN friendly chassis for your next rig, the Air 240 should be at or very close to the top of your shopping list.

Brinell Single Action Stick USB 3.0 128GB Review reported at 12:17 PM
category: Tape/Zip/Jaz Drives     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
"Overall however we all loved the way it looks, feels and performs and although i believe Brinell can do even better (for example a limited lifetime warranty would "sweeten" the deal for some buyers) still their solution is amongst the top 3 USB flash drives I’ve used and tested to date and for that it gets our Platinum Award."

OCZ ARC 100 240GB Review reported at 12:02 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
I was torn whether to give this drive the Editors Choice or the Bang for the Buck award, and in a way it deserves both. This is however a drive I’d be proud to run in my own office PC, so it will get the Editor’s Choice.
