Thecus N7710-G Review reported at 05:29 PM
category: Storage Accessories     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
That being said the N7710-G has everything professionals could ever hope to see in a NAS, it's very fast, build quality is excellent, has room for up to 7 drives, comes ready with a 10GbE card and the ThecusOS offers a lot in terms of available options. We would like to see an improved GUI for the ThecusOS but compared to even a year ago we feel that it's a lot easier to navigate and use than we thought back then and since it lacks nothing we can think of it gets our Platinum Award.

AMD A10-7800 Review reported at 03:19 PM
category: AMD Socket FM2+ CPUs     website: Hexus
Article Quote:
We come away thinking that these 45W/65W chips really needed to be available six months ago, yet the prolonged wait hasn't taken away all their lustre. The reviewed A10-7800 is shaping up to be a solid all-round choice, but if the price is right, you may now be able to pick up both the long-overdue A8-7600 APU and an FM2+ motherboard for around £100. That's a combination worthy of consideration.

category: AMD Socket FM2+ CPUs     website: eTeknix.com

The A10-7800 demonstrates the low-power promise of AMD’s Kaveri architecture: there is a solid amount of overall performance to be had in such a power frugal unit.

AMD A10-7800 Review reported at 01:04 PM
category: AMD Socket FM2+ CPUs     website: HardwareHeaven
Article Quote:
Looking to the CPU and performance we had a pairing which competed ok with the i5/Z97 combo which AMD are targeting in more areas than past generations. Yes there are still areas where Intel do better including on the PCIe SSD peak speed, mem bandwith etc on Z97 or music conversion and Cinebench being two CPU specific examples but there are areas where AMD are moving ahead thanks to software optimisation. Photoshop CC with OpenCL being one ideal example. The new A10-7800 is priced reasonably close to some i3 CPUs though so that too needs taken into account and of course then there is the GPU which is significantly stronger on the AMD chip. So if you plan to game, it really does mean leaning towards the AMD part as the purchase.

AMD A10-7800 Review reported at 12:59 PM
category: AMD Socket FM2+ CPUs     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
The A10-7800 is a well-placed addition to the 2014 APU lineup even though it won’t make any massive waves in the industry. Due to a relatively low price and an abundance of capabilities it should become a darling for large system builders but its appeal within the retail market may be limited when compared against AMD’s growing stable of unlocked parts. The real concern here is that until HSA features can be leveraged for better processing efficiency, AMD’s massive graphics strengths are currently the only thing keeping the A10-7800’s head above water. With Intel investing so heavily in substantial graphics improvements of their own for Broadwell and future architectures, there’s a desperate need to find something else that can help APUs distinguish themselves now and in the future.

Not only the musical presentation and the sound stage are good, but also the build quality is perfect. In addition there is the solid, sturdy and rather classic design. Last but not least there is the huge bundle with cables, adapters and even a handle bag.
