Noctua NH-U14S Review reported at 02:55 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: LanOC
Article Quote:
The combination of Noctua’s easy installation process plus top end performance makes the NH-U14S an amazing choice for the first time builder or established enthusiast. With the ability to even outperform some AIO liquid coolers on the market and still allow for board space, you would be hard pressed to find a better tower cooler option in this range with this combination of performance, style, and operating noise levels.

Corsair Obsidian 450D Review reported at 02:53 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
The Corsair 450D is a great looking mid-tower case offering maximum cooling performance; hardware compatibility is quite good. Too bad for the triple HDD support, as most cases in the same price category offer more storage space. As with all Corsair cases the attention to detail is high and words can hardly explain how easy going these cases are when assembling. This mid-tower 450D is another great addition to the popular Obsidian series. The Obsidian 450D receives the MadShrimps Performance award for its great cooling potential.

Raijintek Pallas Review reported at 12:38 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: Modders-Inc
Article Quote:
The wider surface area limits the kind of components you can install and the limitations on the graphics card installation with mini-ITX and micro-ATX boards is disappointing as the Pallas otherwise scores highly on everything else. Although coming very close to earning an Editor’s Choice, the Pallas nonetheless earns a Modders-Inc Must Have award for its excellent thermal performance, value and build quality.

Speedlink Ledos Review reported at 12:32 PM
category: Mice     website: pcGameware.co.uk
Article Quote:
"The mouse itself is very well built and looks pretty good to boot (assuming you like red of course), it is also very comfortable to hold and the rubberised coating will not allow your sweaty mitts to slip off at those all important moments in Game. The Sniper and Rapid-Fire buttons that I thought were perhaps a little gimmicky aren’t at all and prove themselves rather handy once you remember they are there and the braided USB cable is exactly what it says on the box, ‘flexible’."

Adesso Xtream H2W Review reported at 12:23 PM
category: headsets     website: APH Networks
Article Quote:
"The Adesso Xtream H2s are a fully capable pair of Bluetooth headphones, but the $39 price tag means you will have to make compromises in both its feel and sound quality."

Budget CPU Roundup: AMD Kabini vs. Intel Bay Trail-D reported at 12:13 PM
category: AMD Socket AM1 CPUs     website: TechSpot
Article Quote:
On AMD's side, the AM1 platform does have some nice budget options, but upper models such as the Athlon 5350 simply aren't worth the price. The Sempron 3850 and Sempron 2650 are more relevant simply because you typically can't buy a new CPU for well under $50, much less one that isn't already soldered to a board.

Asus Z97 Deluxe Review reported at 12:07 PM
category: Socket 1150 Motherboards     website: HardOCP
Article Quote:
Overall ASUS has done a great job with the first Z97 motherboard that we have gotten to take a look at. Its AI Suite III overclocking software has evolved well and is certainly a benefit to any enthusiast will to give the software a shot, even if you think BIOS-only tweaking is the way to go. The ASUS Z97 Deluxe is an incredibly complete package both in terms of hardware and software. There is certainly some maturation that needs to come forth in terms of IO drivers, at least for Windows 7. The overclocking Dual Intelligent Processors 5 software is some of the best we have seen and quite frankly it might be able to give a better overclocking result than you can tweak by hand, at least in a short period of time.

Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 Review reported at 12:03 PM
category: headsets     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
The only thing that I can really say that is negative (and is outright nit-picking) is the volume knob is a bit sensitive. Other than this minor issue, when it comes to the abundance of features packed into a single headset, you really can’t ask for much more. I rarely say this but the price really surprised me. The Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 headset was found at $169.99 with a 1 year warranty, but I expected it to be more. Based on the build quality and solid audio quality, when you take all of this into account we have a real winner.

Noctua NH-D15 Review reported at 12:01 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
Of course just like many other people i still hope that Noctua will one day design their very own Liquid CPU Cooler but with solutions like the NH-D15 i don't know if they will ever find a serious reason to do so. For excellent and unsurpassed performance by todays CPU Air Coolers the NH-D15 by Noctua gets our Platinum Award.

Kingston DataTraveler microDuo Review reported at 11:57 AM
category: Tape/Zip/Jaz Drives     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
One can't really ignore that price tag and so even though the MicroDuo OTG 32GB USB Flash Drive is not USB 3.0 compatible it's very cheap and works as advertised making life easier for tablet owners. True Kingston can perfect the design by adding a USB 3.0 controller for the most demanding of users that may need the extra speed when transferring files onto the drive by regular PCs and MACs but until they do the MicroDuo OTG is the perfect solution and that's why we give it our Golden Award.

Synology DS1513+ Review reported at 11:50 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
Synology’s DS1513+ 5-bay NAS may be nearly a year old now, but with its quad-Ethernet ports, scalability and strong levels of performance right throughout the range of RAID options it is by no means an outdated unit. For the SMB and SOHO market this is an ideal stepping stone between the four and six bay systems that are out there on the market – the latest release of DSM 5.0 additionally keeps things well up to date for today’s demanding user base.

ASRock AM1H-ITX Review reported at 11:47 AM
category: Socket AM1 Motherboards     website: Phoronix
Article Quote:
"Overall, I like the ASRock AM1H-ITX motherboard a lot! The AM1H-ITX works fine with recent versions of Linux, it's great to have the PCI Express x16 option out of this mini-ITX motherboard, four Serial ATA 3.0 ports should be sufficient to most users, it's wonderful to have VGA / DVI / DisplayPort / HDMI options, the connectivity overall is great, and lastly the option to use a DC-In power connector in place of a 24-pin ATX PSU is also great for low-power AMD APU systems."

Speedlink Jugger 2.1 Review reported at 11:44 AM
category: 3 Piece Systems     website: pcGameware.co.uk
Article Quote:
At average volumes the overall performance is good, bring in the sub though and things change. The subwoofer is overpowered (READ: Awesome!) and drowns out the satellites, they don’t complement each other very well, and overall it just doesn’t work well as system. The satellites need to be improved or bass needs reduced (although there is a bass volume control of course!). For the most parts the kit is OK, A fair effort from SpeedLink but it needs some additional work…
