Fractal Design Arc XL Review reported at 12:20 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: LanOC
Article Quote:
All in all the Arc XL is a great case that continues the reputation that Fractal has quickly built up. The market for a case of this size might be a little small, but it’s great to know they are giving options.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 SLI vs. Radeon R9 290X Comparison reported at 12:14 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
Overall the two GTX 760 cards are performing really well and there is no doubt the two of them are seriously quick, actually, on average they're 12 pecent quicker than one AMD Radeon R9 290X. Last but no least there is the power consumption which is 12 percent higher than with one single AMD Radeon R9 290X. If you're actually thinking about buying two GTX 760's make sure you go for models with 4 Gigabyte VRAM otherwise the AMD Radeon R9 290X will be quicker playing games at ultra high resolutions. When it comes to price/performance, than the two GTX 760 in SLI are simply great. Since drivers are meanwhile quite well optimized for SLI, almost any new game is supported with well balanced profiles.

Cooler Master Elite 110 Review reported at 12:08 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Modders-Inc
Article Quote:
The Cooler Master Elite 110 Mini-ITX is a niche case. It covers the LAN party goer that wants power with small foot print, which translates into ease of transport and mobility. For the HTPC/Media Center builder, this case offers a good mixture of unobtrusive looks, with internal drive storage installation flexibility, and a fan that is nice and quiet. At $49.99, it is also a budget case that is unexpectedly friendly on the wallet. Having the ability to use a regular sized power supply and graphics cards is a nice touch. As stated before you better plan out what you are going to “stuff” in to this tiny case because if you can’t get in there it will on your hands.

Thermaltake Core V71 Review reported at 11:34 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Benchmark Reviews
Article Quote:
The Core V71 may not have the most efficient cooling setup, or the most extravagent looks (not always a bad thing), or the most luxury features…but the modular drive system and overall compatibility with a wide range of builds make this a very compelling option. It just so happens to come with a pretty powerful stock cooling setup too, along with a fresh new look that helps set it apart. I would say the Core V71 is a very fair value for the asking price.

SilverStone Raven RVZ01 Review reported at 11:19 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Hardware Asylum
Article Quote:
This may be difficult for a high-end hardware enthusiast to admit but Mini-ITX motherboards serve a purpose in the enthusiast world and their potential has been largely unrealized due to lack luster case designs. The Raven RVZ01 changes all of that by not only providing a viable small form factor case but also resolving the classic problem of aftermarket cooling in a small system.

Cooler Master CM Storm Control-RX Review reported at 11:18 AM
category: Input device accessories     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
With the Control-RX, Cooler Master has a generously sized mousepad in its portfolio. Thanks to the fact that the surface features a very fine structure, this pad offers very good gliding characteristics. Since this pad is rather large, players who prefer low DPI settings will not run out of space too quickly and therefore they will not have to lift the mouse every few centimeters. In case of high the DPI settings, the texture is fine enough to provide accurate tracking. Overall the CM Storm Control-RX mousepad is a versatile tool, that can be used for low- as well as high-sensitivity gaming alike, but only if your desk is big enough for it.

BitFenix Colossus Mini-ITX Review reported at 11:09 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
Building this system didn’t have me overturning years of bias and swearing off large cases in favor of teeny titans. It did, however, leave me with a bit more respect for those that engineer SFF chassis and parts. They are forced to design just about every feature we take for granted in a fraction of the space. That limited space still presents me with challenges. Regardless, with award winning insides, unique styling on the outside, great quality and that awesome Litetrak lighting system, the Colossus easily earns the PureOverclock Great Hardware Award.

eVGA Z87 Stinger Review reported at 10:45 AM
category: Socket 1150 Motherboards     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
All in all the Z87 Stinger is a solid effort which offers a good balance of features and overclocking options but with the competition moving forward at light speed it simply feels half a generation behind the technological curve. There are many encouraging signs here but if EVGA has any hope of competing when Z97 is launched, they need to offer competitive solutions on every front; that goes for BIOS maturity, a robust software suite and pricing.
