SteelSeries H Wireless Review reported at 01:32 PM
category: headsets     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
Of course for people who care not about wireless freedom the 9H is almost just as good and the best part is that it costs roughly 40% less. However if you do want wireless freedom and you can afford the H Wireless then it's currently the jack of all trades beneath the USD300 price mark and that's why it gets our Platinum Award.

RaidMax Cobra Review reported at 01:25 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: HardOCP
Article Quote:
The Raidmax Cobra Power 500W, unfortunately, follows in the footsteps of the previous Raidmax RX-1000AE and even, perhaps, does worse. From start to finish, the only high point we could find with this unit today was the noise output, but even that gave us concerns as there is no good reason why it should be so quiet. Other than that, the Cobra Power 500W had poor voltage regulation, out of specification Transient Load Test results, mediocre DC output quality, poor component selection/build quality, and laughable efficiency. If the options were buy this unit or buy a hamster on a wheel to power your PC then you only have only one question. What do hamsters eat?

Corsair Hydro H75 Review reported at 01:19 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: PC Perspective
Article Quote:
I thought I knew what to expect from this cooler until I started compiling the test results. To say I was impressed by this small unit's performance is an understatement. It is no small task to keep an overclocked Haswell processor cool and the H75 did it without issue and with comparable numbers to units with larger radiators.

Feenix Autore Review reported at 01:07 PM
category: Keyboards     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
"Overall the build quality and the time I have spent testing the Feenix Autore I have really enjoyed. There is one thing I would like to see but really isn’t needed is a soft white led backlight on the Feenix Autore as when it is dark or low light. Other than that the keyboard is amazing and has a great layout and feel to it."

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Review reported at 12:23 PM
category: Keyboards     website: pcGameware.co.uk
Article Quote:
It’s not what’s present on the BlackWidow that lets it down, it’s just some of the things that are missing, especially when you consider the premium asking price of approximately £125. Razer may have developed the perfect Gaming switch, but not necessarily the perfect Gaming keyboard.

Crucial M550 Review reported at 12:20 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: HardwareHeaven
Article Quote:
When it comes to creating an SSD Crucial, due to being part of the Micron family, have an advantage over many other SSD manufacturers... they have access to their own brand storage and cache chips to build a drive round. For some time they have matched those with Marvel controllers and with the release of the M550 we see that continue.

Crucial M550 Review reported at 11:47 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Benchmark Reviews
Article Quote:
"If performance is all you look for from a solid state drive, then you’ll certainly find plenty of it in the Crucial M550 series. Unfortunately, keeping a narrow focus on specification will cause you to miss the bigger picture. Sure, the Crucial M550 uses native write acceleration instead of compression and is among the fastest SSDs, but it also delivers the least expensive price per gigabyte among solid-state storage devices. Micron has forcefully pushed Crucial SSDs into the limelight by offering ultra-fast SSDs for nearly $0.50/GB, bringing their performance-branded 1TB Crucial M550 down to mainstream pricing."

PowerColor PCS+ R9 290X Review reported at 11:39 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
Currently priced at $649, PowerColor's PCS+ cooled R9 290X carries a $50 price premium over the reference cooled card. Money well spent when you get cooling improvements of 30%, increased overclocking margin, tighter voltage regulation thanks to PowerColor's Gold Power Kit, and a much better looking card. If we can get past the artificially high price points driven by the popularity of these cards with the cryptocoin miners, gamers should have a chance at joining the ownership club at a reasonable price.

XFX Radeon R9 290 Double Dissipation Review reported at 09:56 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
There are plenty of reasons to recommend the XFX R9 290 Double Dissipation. It is fast, runs cool, has the capability for some amazing frequencies when overclocked and is very, very quiet. We just can’t help but feel that XFX played it a bit too safe with this one since there’s not all that much to distinguish it from similarly-priced competitors. With that being said, if rebates and other incentives are used to lower its cost, XFX could have a winner on their hands in the price / performance segment.
