In conclusion the 840 EVO 250GB SSD may not be the king of the hill but it offers a tempting package (performance/features/capacity/warranty/price) which is worth our Platinum Award.

Samsung U28D590D Review reported at 01:15 PM
category: 20/22/24 INCH     website: Hardware.Info
Article Quote:
"Brightness, uniformity, and viewing angles are excellent, and the colour temperature and colour fidelity also are much better than what we've seen in TN panels previously. We may not recommend this as a first choice for semi-professional video editing, but you can definitely use this panel for your everyday image editing needs."

Overall we can say if you go get yourself a high-end R9 280X and you want to get the maximum out of this card, then we'd recommend you to go for a custom watercooling loop and the EK-FC R9-280X-DCII is certainly doing a great job.

While the board space is limited by the its physical size, its performance is not inhibited by its mITX stature in the least. The Maximus VI Impact performed on-par with other full-sized solutions at both stock and overclocked settings, so no worries there.

be quiet Power Zone 850W Review reported at 11:17 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
To sum up, the first priority of be quiet! should be to find a way to increase availability of this unit in the States while lowering its price to that of a Bronze unit, although the efficiency I measured easily met Silver standards; efficiency was even close to that of a Gold-certified unit. You shouldn't expect much in terms of noise as the unit is definitely not a pure be quiet! product in that regard while operating at high loads and under tough conditions. So you had better look at another PSU in their portfolio if you want a truly silent PSU.

Intel Core i7-3930K Review reported at 11:00 AM
category: Socket 2011     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
To end this conclusion we try to leave you guys with at least some sort of buying advice. Basically if you do have the funds to buy two high-end graphics cards and then use them in SLI (apparently) it makes sense to combine these two cards with a powerful CPU, since you are quite likely to run into CPU limitation on certain games. On the other hand the question remains how much sense it makes to buy two high-end cards in the first place, since not too many games are actually well optimized for multi-card setups. Overall you'll definitely end up with a highly futureproof setup but the benefit comes at quite a cost.

PowerColor PCS+ R9 290X Review reported at 10:56 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
"PowerColor may not have the household name status of ASUS, XFX, Gigabyte or MSI but with the R9 290X PCS+, they’ve designed one hell of a card. Currently this is one of a scant few R9 290X’s that offer such a near-perfect combination of performance, near-silence, ultra low temperatures and impressive overclocking headroom."

If you are looking for a R9 290X, the XFX R9 290X Double Dissipation equipped card is one that addresses the short comings of the reference design and looks oh so much better doing it. It's cool, it's quiet, and it easily delivers excellent FPS with high settings.
