AMD Radeon R9 270X & R9 270 Review reported at 03:11 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: HardOCP
Article Quote:
The pricing situation has pushed what should be lower-performing cards into prices ranges reserved for higher-performing GPUs. It has put these lower-performing GPUs in-line with the competitions higher-end offerings. This makes the competition more appealing, and certainly the better price for performance alternative. These are great cards, in of themselves, and if these AMD cards were all sold at MSRP, these cards of course would carry more value for the gamer. However the AMD retail prices are so inflated it makes the GeForce GTX 760 look very appealing. This isn't the fault of MSI, or SAPPHIRE, but it is an unfortunate fact that cannot be denied right now. When the prices fall, and hopefully those will, then the R9 270X and R9 270 will look more appealing in the landscape.

InWin 904 Review reported at 02:32 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
Overall, In Win has shown that they have the guts to gun for designer glory once again, and for that, they should be applauded. The In Win 904 may be expensive, and it may not offer all the functionality other cases in its price segment sport, and, heck, it is not nearly as amazing as other cases in terms of overall compatibility, but, oh boy, does it look good, and that is exactly what will matter so much more to the crowd the In Win 904 is for.

Genius GX-Gaming Gila Review reported at 12:32 PM
category: Mice     website: Modders-Inc
Article Quote:
"Overall, the Genius GX Gaming Gila provides extensive functionality for users who are looking for a mouse with superior input flexibility and that can withstand extended play time. The optional weight system also furthers functional configuration, while full RGB LED customization adds personal eye-candy on a level that is uncommon. The price might be too high for most users but the Gila offers plenty of features to satisfy even the most fickle of gamers."

Synology DS214play Review reported at 12:02 PM
category: Storage Accessories     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
The latest DS214play NAS from Synology has at its core the Intel Evansport CE5335 processor which is coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, which should be quite enough in a home use environment. Thanks to the new platform, the NAS can perform 1080p Full HD transcoding on-the-fly so we should not encounter any issues while streaming content to our DLNA-enabled devices.

SilverStone Argon AR01 Review reported at 11:51 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: PC Perspective
Article Quote:
The Achilles heel of this cooler seems to be in its ability to dissipate heat effectively using a process with high thermal outputs, such as the Haswell-based CPU. The AR01 performed decently with the Haswell at stock, but under overclocked conditions, it was keeping the process on the razor's edge of stable. At a $34.99 price though, the AR01 is a steal for the level of performance offered.

Asus R9 280X DirectCU II TOP & R9 270 DirectCU II OC Review reported at 11:36 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
Pricing for the Tahiti-based R9 280X DirectCU II TOP has been kept artificially inflated due to high demand by crypto coin miners, but with the recent insolvency of the Mt. Gox Bitcoin exchange the prices seem to have eased a bit. This is evidenced by the $40 drop over the past week for the R9 280X DirectCU II TOP, coming in today at $479. The R9 270 DirectCU II OC however, has kept a solid $259 price point. If you are in the market for a new video card, these two examples from ASUS offer excellent performance, good looks, and long term build quality that should allow them to remain on your rig well past the typical three-year upgrade cycle.

Raijintek Nemesis Review reported at 10:58 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
The Raijintek Nemesis is a highly efficient cooling system which has everything it takes to be a super-cooler. With a moderately overclocked CPU, the new cooler is just as good as the best of air coolers, beating them in terms of noise level. Although our CPU couldn’t be overclocked with the Nemesis to its maximum clock rate, it is a high-performance product overall.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Review reported at 10:52 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
From our, perhaps subjective, point of view, the GeForce GTX 750 Ti (just like the GTX 650 Ti for that matter) is not a true gaming card, so it is somewhat too expensive for its humble performance. We guess the GeForce GTX 750 Ti, small and with passive cooling, should sell for about $100. Such a product would be a real bestseller.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition Review reported at 10:44 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
"The Zotac GeForce GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition is just the first in our series of reviews of original GK110-based graphics cards, yet we already recommend it to every gamer who wants high performance whatever the cost. This graphics card is pre-overclocked and also has additional GPU overclocking potential. Its Zotac Triple Silencer cooler is more efficient and quieter than the reference card’s. Although not exactly silent, it will satisfy the majority of users in terms of noisiness, too. We guess the noise level, which is average, is in fact the only imperfection in this otherwise excellent product."

MSI Z87I Gaming AC Review reported at 10:32 AM
category: Socket 1150 Motherboards     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
MSI’s Z87I Gaming AC motherboard is a solid choice for any gamer or system builder who wants the features and style of a gaming motherboard, the connectivity options of a prosumer motherboard and the performance and overclocking of an enthusiast motherboard. There are few drawbacks on this excellent motherboard and it is definitely worth it’s price point. I look forward to seeing how MSI can improve their mini-ITX design when Z97 is bestowed upon us later this year.

MSI GK-601 Review reported at 10:13 AM
category: Keyboards     website: pcGameware.co.uk
Article Quote:
All in all the MSI GK-601 isn’t going to set your world alight, but you do get a fair bit for your money and it is probably one of the best mechanical keyboards your going to find in it’s price range (around the £70 mark when here in the UK). If your in the market for a new keyboard or wanting to try a mechanical keyboard for the first time, the GK-601 is definitely worth a punt (even more so if and when MSI release the proper red Gaming Dragon version).
