Func HS-260 Review reported at 12:12 PM
category: headsets     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
Func's newest addition to their gaming product line-up is a bit of a hit and miss. Comfort is great, and they nailed this headset's clamping force, but at a cost in the sonic performance department. The sound quality of the HS-260s is not quite on-par with the competition in the same price range, which is a shame. The Func HS-260s are generally well-made, but do not seem quite as bomb-proof as the CM Storm Sonuz or QPAD QH-90s. It seems as thought Func focused more on comfort than on durability here, which is, to an extend, a good choice.

Western Digital Black2 Review reported at 12:00 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
If you have more than one storage slot in your laptop or more than one 2.5-inch drive bay in your PC this product really is not for you. If you happen to only have a single slot available and want speed and lots of storage space this is a great option. Keep in mind Western Digital also throws in the SATA to USB 3.0 adapter for the drive and Acronis TrueImage software.

Attitude One Sturmovik Review reported at 11:54 AM
category: Keyboards     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
"Of course if you want a regular everyday keyboard you can find many for even less but for a keyboard with 4 different backlight levels, braided cable, gold plated USB connector and a good design the price feels right and that's why we recommend it to people who are not willing to spend much for a gaming keyboard."

AMD Radeon HD 6970 vs. R9 280X Review reported at 11:45 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
The new Radeon R9 280X is on average almost 70 percent quicker thatn the Radeon HD 6970, which makes this conclusion a no-brainer. Upgrading from the HD 6970 to a R9 280X definitely makes sense and quite a few games get playable again at high resolutions. Other than that you might want to consider, that thanks to the mining hype, Radeon HD 6970 cards go for about 130 Euro on eBay easily. Keeping in mind that an R9 280X card with reference design costs roughly 270 Euro these days will make you invest another 140 Euro to get a really quick, new card.

Shuttle XPC SZ87R6 Review reported at 11:42 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
"Shuttle has refreshed its XPC Barebone series, but this time with the Z87 chipset for supporting the latest LGA1150 Haswell processors, while keeping quite a small footprint. The chassis layout is sleek and should fit perfectly in our living room or in our work place and has enough connectivity options in both front and back. The unit supports installation of an optical drive, but also two 3.5’’ HDDs with RAID support (2.5’’ drives can be installed too but the user needs to purchase additional adapters)."

13 Mini-ITX Intel Haswell Motherboard Roundup reported at 11:31 AM
category: Socket 1150 Motherboards     website: Hardware.Info
Article Quote:
If you're more interested in overclocking than gaming, the MSI Z87I is a good and affordable choice, even if it uses a little more power. If you can spend more money, the ASRock Z87E-ITX is preferable due to the superior audio chip (Realtek ALC1150), 802.11ac WLAN, six SATA ports and a lower energy consumption.

category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
"This chassis ticks a lot of boxes and it’s pretty versatile in what kind of system you can build with it, but the real winner here is gaming. If you’re looking to leap into the world of gaming on your big screen TV, with your own SteamBox, or even just a cool LAN gaming rig that’s easy to move around, then the RVZ01 is one of the best choices on the market."

Patriot’s Viper 3 16GB 2400MHz memory kit is a solid memory kit that offers excellent performance. The price is currently too high to be award-worthy but the novelty of a variety of colour options and the peace of mind of a lifetime warranty mean the Patriot Viper 3 16GB 2400MHz kit is certainly worth considering.

Corsair AX1200i Review reported at 10:33 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
There are premium products and then there’s the Corsair AX1200i. This is a crazy-good power supply that ticks every box. It has bags of performance, it has the best build quality and attention to detail I have ever seen on a power supply, it is totally quiet, it has a 7 year warranty and it’s full of nifty features like a power supply test button, a fan that can turn off at low loads and Corsair Link support. This really is the ultimate power supply for an ultimate system. Just remember not to check your bank statement after you’ve bought it!
