Seagate Backup Plus Review reported at 02:19 PM
category: Tape/Zip/Jaz Drives     website: PC Stats
Article Quote:
With a demonstrated average read/write speed of about 90MB/s, the Backup Plus Slim external drive offers relatively good back up transfer times but won't come near to breaking speed records. The Seagate Dashboard software is dead simple to use and has features built into it which are handy. The software succeeds in positioning the Backup Plus Slim drive as a go-to device for offline storage. Recommended for desktop use, not at all recommended as a travel external storage device.

Corsair Obsidian 250D Review reported at 12:04 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Hexus
Article Quote:
Ultimately, the Obsidian Series 250D has accomplished Corsair's goal of bringing high-end performance to a smaller form factor. The chassis can be recommended to enthusiast users for that reason alone, but if you do decide to use the 250D as the basis of your next machine, don't be surprised to find yourself looking to downsize again in the near future.

Overall a very solid and reliable product, it echoes heavily of the original Prodigy, but the new exterior panels give it a much more profession and clean look that make it ideal for NAS and HTPC solutions.

ASRock Fatal1ty B85 Killer Review reported at 11:25 AM
category: Socket 1150 Motherboards     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
"If you’re looking for a fully equipped Haswell gaming motherboard that pretty much does it all, but you aren’t prepared to pay the premium for Z87, then ASRock’s Fatal1ty B85 Killer gaming motherboard is a game-changing option. Sure it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the really expensive Z87 options but it costs a mere fraction of the price and you’ll find it tough to notice anything is even missing. This should undoubtedly be one of the more popular Haswell gaming motherboards when paired up with a cost effective Haswell CPU. Kudos to ASRock for bringing a gaming quality motherboard to the market at such an attractive price point."

BitFenix Phenom Micro-ATX Review reported at 11:14 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
"Overall, the BitFenix Phenom Micro-ATX is just as great as the Prodigy M, but it targets a smaller segment of users requiring just as much storage space without the portability, or an external drive bay. The enclosure is also available in black or white. While not quite with as many colorful choices as the Prodigy, it is still perfect for the audience it caters to. The result is a great chassis with a "dual personality" as it may not be for everyone, though it surely won't disappoint those who go for it. Just keep in mind that the Prodigy M does offer a few more features for the same price."

OCZ Vertex 460 Review reported at 10:54 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Hardware.Info
Article Quote:
For basic tasks, you might as well stick with the cheapest SATA600 SSD you can find. If you tend to put your storage under heavier loads but don't want to buy the most expensive SSD on the market, the OCZ Vertex 460 is excellent option.

OCZ Vertex 460 Review reported at 10:49 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: HardwareHeaven
Article Quote:
That brings us to price and performance where the Vertex 460 does well. It is priced competitively and continuously sat at the higher end of the performance scale. It was also great to see the drive deal with larger, sustained file copy tasks and HD video just as well as small operations. A very good all round drive which offers a boost in performance for those on older generation drives while competing at the high end of the market for desktop and mobile users

12-Way Gaming Mouse Roundup reported at 10:42 AM
category: Mice     website: Legion Hardware
Article Quote:
Overall, we found the Logitech G700S to be the most practical all-rounder gaming mouse, with both Razer and SteelSeries options taking out the honours for best gaming mice for the hardcore enthusiast. Gigabytes Aivia Krypton though gets our thumbs-up for best value for money and is a great overall gaming mouse somewhere between all-rounder and all-out gamer with decent software, size, overall physical design and implementation and the added bonus of tuning weights.

Thermaltake Tt eSports Volos Review reported at 10:13 AM
category: Mice     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
The Tt eSPORTS Volos gaming mouse is a mess of a gaming mouse if I've ever had one. It is literally a kluged piece of work that smashes an Xbox controller with one from PlayStation and births a reject even to Darwin's standards. You can't hold it like a controller, though the buttons are placed like you should just pick it up off your desk and attempt to do so. It's like it wants you to not only have two thumbs, but an extra small or ring finger as well. Finding the buttons while still trying to click and shoot, or even just look around, is like trying to actually do your homework while playing Warframe; it's just not going to happen.
