Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC Review reported at 11:37 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: HardOCP
Article Quote:
The ASUS R9 290X DirectCU II OC is the answer to all the issues hotly debated in regards to the reference AMD Radeon R9 290X. It fixes the cooling issues, keeping the GPU cooler, and it fixes the noise issues providing quiet operation while doing so. On top of that, you get a little extra kick in the pants thanks to the factory overclock of 1050MHz. The ASUS R9 290X DCU II OC is able to maintain this clock speed in "Quiet" and "Performance" mode.

NVIDIA Shield Review reported at 11:20 AM
category: Android     website: LanOC
Article Quote:
Officially the MSRP of the shield is just under $300, but if you get in quickly it is actually on sale right now for $250 making this a great deal in my opinion. If you are in the market for a video card you can actually get one for even less. Nvidia is offering another $50 off the price if you buy it with one of their qualifying video card models. If you are looking to game on Android, I don’t think you will find a better system to do it!

Thermaltake MEKA G1 Review reported at 11:12 AM
category: Keyboards     website: Techware Labs
Article Quote:
The MEKA G1 Illuminated keyboard is an extremely well-constructed keyboard, and there is little doubt in my mind that it would hold up to the most demanding gamer’s abuse. The response is spot on, and I personally found the key actuation and spacing to be a welcomed return home, after having used membrane and chiclet style keyboards over the recent years. At the time of this article, the MEKA G1 Illuminated keyboard can be had for around $120, and that puts it in the upper end of the spectrum when it comes to its competition. After spending time with it, I feel it would be worth the purchase price if the backlighting was persistent through reboots. This lone issue, in my opinion, is enough of a detriment that makes it difficult to recommend, especially with it being on the high side of the price curve for comparably equipped mechanical keyboards. Everything else about the MEKA G1 Illuminated was so well done, I personally wish it had a “mechanical” toggle switch for the backlighting to overcome the non-persistent backlighting.

Noctua NH-U14S Review reported at 11:03 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
Right now the Noctua NH-U14S is selling for $78, which makes it one of the more expensive air coolers out there. Looking at the price thats about the same as many liquid CPU coolers and this air cooler performs up to par with those, is easier to install and the fans are quieter. Also when you are purchasing a Noctua it is quality and has the accessories to match.

Corsair CS650M Review reported at 11:01 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
To sum up, the CS650M is a good PSU, but I think its price should be lower than 100 bucks to increase its price/performance ratio and widen the price gap between it and the higher RM650 unit a bit. At its current price, many users will definitely consider the longer warranty of the RM650 unit and that unit's similar performance and fully modular design superior because ten bucks isn't a real deal breaker, and I would also like to see a revision of this unit with better ripple suppression at +12V and an MOV.

Thermaltake MEKA G1 Review reported at 09:52 AM
category: Keyboards     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
Overall we were all pleased with the MEKA G1 Illuminated, sure it may not be as impressive like let’s say the G-UNIT or as feature-rich as the Challenger Ultimate (although this is not a mechanical keyboard) again by Tt eSPORTS but for people who want a keyboard and not something to dazzle their friends it's a very good choice and that's also why it gets our Golden Award.
