AMD Radeon R9 290X vs. Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan @ 4K Review reported at 12:28 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Hexus
Article Quote:
The pixel demands of 4K are too much for these cards to contend with. We'd hazard that you'd need to scale either card up by at least 50 per cent, perhaps more, for them to be powerful enough to cope with the graphically noisome combination of IQ and pixel-load. It's very unlikely that we'll see such an architecture available any time soon - we could be at least a year off - so those looking to invest in a 4K-capable rig will need to go down the multi-GPU path... and all the potential performance pitfalls - frame pacing, etc. - that accompany such a setup.

Vantec NexStar HX2R Review reported at 10:23 AM
category: Storage Accessories     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
"The NexStar HX2R is a great enclosure. It is a solid product with is aluminum housing along with the 80 mm top fan to suck the air out to keep the drives cool. Another really cool thing about the NexStar HX2R is that is it completely easy to set up and get going. It is something that novice users looking to venture into custom external storage can set up to enthusiast users looking to expand their storage to 8TB. But the only issue that I ran into while setting up the NexStar HX2R is that the top drive bracket when trying to pull it out is pretty tough and requires a little bit of brute strength to unlock."
