Asus GeForce GTX 760 DC Mini Review reported at 12:41 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Guru3D
Article Quote:
"As much of a refresh as the GeForce GTX 760 really is, it is the end-result that counts. The product comes with a GTX 680 chip but was limited in performance by roughly 25% because of two disabled SMX clusters (each 192 Shaders processors). But with plenty of memory bandwidth and the ROP engine left in-tact the GeForce GTX 760 remains to be serious business. The reality remains that last year's most high-end GPU can now be bought at a much better price. ASUS was on a mission with this card, addressing high-end class graphics card performance for the small form factor PCs."

Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC Review reported at 12:01 PM
category: Socket 1150 Motherboards     website: Bjorn3D
Article Quote:
The sheer fact that the Gigabyte board can pull off a sub 200 price tag and have pro level OC features is raising the bar for future board releases as Gigabyte now offers two high end OC models to fit even more extreme enthusiasts needs, and I can only see this meaning good things for the future of ASUS board offerings if decisions like this can continue.

SilverStone Zeus ZM1350 Review reported at 11:23 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: HardOCP
Article Quote:
The SilverStone Zeus ZM1350 is SilverStone's newest flagship product and from the copy and features list that comes with it, it surely looks the part of a flagship product. Between overcolocker friendly features like adjustable potentiometers and extremely tight voltage regulation to modder friendly features like a fully modular cable design the ZM1350 sets itself up to be just about all things to all people, except for maybe the HTPC folks with the use of the 80mm fan and the huge size. However, while trying to do so much for some many people, perhaps the eyes came off the ball a bit over at SilverStone as there are certainly a few areas where this unit just did not shine today. Between the inconsistent ability to start and run, the only "OK" but worse than advertised voltage regulation, the loud fan, and the efficiency which was just not quite up to par, we end up largely overlooking some of those nice features and the excellent Transient Load Test results as this unit just doesn't do any of the basic aspects of a power supply extremely well.

Noctua NH-U12S & NH-U14S Review reported at 11:08 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: Big Bruin
Article Quote:
The bottom line is that these coolers have made this HTPC the quietest it has ever been, and since it is installed in my bedroom - where my wife happens to spend even more time than me - that is definitely a good thing. The wife acceptance factor has never been so important, and if she can forget that there is a computer running 24/7 over in the corner, I would say paying a bit extra is a worthy investment.

Intel Core i5-4670K vs i5-3570K Gaming Review reported at 11:00 AM
category: Intel Socket 1150 CPUs     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
Should you be thinking about upgrading your Core i5-3570K setup with a Core i5-4670K, we can tell you that this step can be skipped. It was really surprising to see that the old Ivy Bridge architecture was faster than new Haswell in our selection of games. Next to that, the performance increase remains consistent even if the clock speed is raised by 1 GHz, from 3.5 GHz to 4.5 GHz.

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 Review reported at 10:46 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
The Fractal ARC Midi R2 retails around 90 euros making it a straight adversary for the CORSAIR Carbide 500R and the Cooler Master 690 series. Not the easiest competition, but the ARC Midi R2 has enough features to stand it's ground. If it's not the build quality, the design or the cooling features, it might just be the black and white theme that could turn you over to the Fractal side. Another great case from the FRACTAL Team at a justified price.

Astro Gaming A50 Review reported at 10:40 AM
category: headsets     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
"The only issue I have overall is the power of the drivers, they’re LOUD like nothing else and while that isn’t a bad thing I can’t understand why they need to be so powerful that the headset could double as a set of speakers to a small room of people! What did impress me about this though was the at the kind of volume where you need to have the headset away from your ears, the sound was distortion free. However if you want to melt your brain with high volume, you could do so with the A50. Fortunately, this headset still sounds great even at low volumes."

Rosewill Throne Review reported at 10:29 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
"As we’ve been alluding to from the start, the Throne’s interior is one of the most spacious we’ve come across which isn’t a huge surprise considering the case’s height of nearly two feet. As with most products in the category, Rosewill has added a number of strategically placed notches and grommets to aide in cable management. The ten (!) hard drive caddies will be a welcome sight for anyone looking to install a massive RAID array, though their cage isn’t removable, nor is it as modular as the ones found on several competitors."

Hitachi Touro Desk Pro Review reported at 10:23 AM
category: Tape/Zip/Jaz Drives     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
The Touro Desk Pro 3TB USB 3.0 External HDD by HGST was very fast and perhaps the fastest single USB 3.0 External HDD in the market at the time of its launch so the large exterior housing didn't matter much to us (if at all). Of course much like most things in the electronics industry it didn't take long for another external HDD to take the performance crown and that was no other than the G-Drive Professional 4TB USB 3.0 drive by G-Technology (a subsidiary of HGST). The new Touro Desk Pro 4TB USB 3.0 External HDD was released shortly after the G-Technology model and not only does it blow away the previous Touro Desk Pro model out of the water in terms of performance but it goes head to head against the G-Drive Pro so that's more than enough for us to not be concerned about its size and the same should apply for people who are after the best possible performance and reliability without having to spend much in the process. My only problem with the Touro Desk Pro is the lack of an power on/off button something that i do hope they fix in future models.

Mushkin Enhanced Ridgeback Redline PC3-17000 Quad Channel Kit Review reported at 10:02 AM
category: DDR3 Memory     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
As it stands here the 996996 Redline modules are another solid offering that comes with a low buy in cost for the quality you get at $79 for 8GB of memory! Good looks, great performance, and the support to back it up. Remember that slogan on the back of the package? It proudly states "Get More". I would have to agree.
