Corsair Obsidian 900D Review reported at 01:50 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
Bottom line Corsair has launched one of the best HPTX compatible PC cases in the market and although yes it's far from perfect in the end the old saying by Desiderius Erasmus "In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king" is a perfect match here and since in the market there aren’t any better PC Cases at around the same price point currently (the Cosmos II looks better but has less interior space) the Obsidian 900D gets our Platinum Award.

Antec High Current Pro HCP-1000 Review reported at 12:17 PM
category: Power Supplies     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
With the HCP-1000 Platinum, Antec offers a top product. The layout is very nice and the quality of the internal manufacturing including soldering is simply awesome! This is kind of a surprise, since the case doesn't look special at all. This is a perfect example where the first look doesn't tell the truth. Remarkable is that the OEM (Delta) wants to stay on the safe side and does not try to save money in using cheaper components. A perfect example are the APFC capacitors which are rated at 450V instead of the usual 400-420V. The Antec HCP-1000 Platinum is in our point of view one of the most reliably PSU available on the retail market. We especially recommend this PSU when high reliability is needed but the budget does not allow the purchase of professional redundant server PSU. In comparison with other power supplies with similar power rating this unit offers not so many modular cables. Additionally a good cooling performance has on this PSU priority over being very quiet. The HCP-1000 Platinum is well audible under load, which means we've heard more silent PSU's in the past.

SteelSeries Siberia v2 vs. Ttesports Dracco Captain Headset Review reported at 11:39 AM
category: headsets     website: Legion Hardware
Article Quote:
So in summary, for those that can afford the extra $30 we recommend the SteelSeries Siberia v2 Heat Orange as the better choice. They are a great set of cans with some flashy conversation starter features, while the profile switching is a neat feature for those who love their sound and want to tweak for each program/game. They also offer superior comfort on the ears, and across the top of the head thanks to the suspension-type system taking some extra weight off there. For those looking to stick under $100, we can still recommend the TteSPORTS DRACCO Captain gaming headset as a more budget-conscious choice that will not disappoint.

be quiet Pure Power CM L8 Review reported at 11:16 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
Be Quiet’s Pure Power L8 CM 730W power supply has impressed me greatly in terms of how much you can get for your money. This power supply has all the hallmark features of a solid reliable power supply but without the noise of competing solutions. There is really very little to fault Be Quiet on with the Pure Power L8 and it delivers what you’d expect and then a little bit more for its affordable price point. That said I do still feel like Be Quiet have some work to do on their cabling to gain more favour with picky system builders but if you can overlook the cables then this really is a fantastic power supply for the money and we highly recommend it.

eVGA X79 Dark Review reported at 11:13 AM
category: Socket 2011 Motherboards     website: Ninjalane
Article Quote:
"For the record we found that 4.7Ghz was extremely easy to obtain. Simply increase the core voltage slightly and raise the multiplier up to 47x. However getting past 4.7Ghz proved to be a bit of a challenge until we enabled the Internal PLL Override. After that 5.1+Ghz was easy and ran exactly how we had expected. This feature is similar to the PLL Overvoltage found on the Z68 chipset and by enabling it you could run most 2600k processors past 5Ghz. As we have mentioned many times your overclocking adventure can vary but with the EVGA X79 Dark it should be fun and easy."

Dell UltraSharp U3014 Review reported at 10:56 AM
category: 20/22/24 INCH     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
"Just like any exclusive club, getting access to the U3014 may be difficult and may not even seem like a practical decision, but if you can get past the cost of entry, it will provide a wholly enjoyable experience. There is a good reason why this is Dell’s flagship model: it simply operates at a different level than other models. If you are adverse to the idea of selling a kidney on the black market to pay for a 4K monitor – and the GPUs to go with it – this is the model you have been waiting for. Whether you are a business owner wanting to boost productivity – and employee satisfaction – or a PC enthusiast who wants the very best, the U3014 is worth waiting and saving for. Even excellent 27” 1440P models like the U2713H pale in comparison to what this monitor has to offer. Just be fair warned: these models are addictive and you will never be satisfied with anything else."

XSPC Photon 270 Review reported at 10:46 AM
category: Cooling - Other     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
"The Photon 270 is a very neat reservoir that caters to the aesthetic senses. Although their first tube reservoir to be brought to the market, XSPC shows that they simply know water cooling. If you’re looking for something unique to set your build apart, this little gem from XSPC could be the ticket. Add in the fact that this unit sells for a respectable $64.99 USD from my favorite online retailer and it makes financial sense as well."
