Thermaltake Armor Revo Gene Review reported at 05:48 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: APH Networks
Article Quote:
While the Thermaltake Armor Revo Gene is not draw-dropping when it comes to aesthetics in my personal opinion (Again, beauty is in the eyes of its beholder), the build quality and tool-free installation system is pretty good. For the price it commands, Thermaltake’s Armor Revo Gene is definitely a good choice, whether you are looking for a mid-tower case that will handle all the latest gaming components, or just to give your PC a new look. The Armor Revo Gene holds a lot of potential due to the enormity of the interior, and the versatility of fan setups you can achieve for maximum cooling efficiency. If you don’t like changing cases yet enjoy upgrading components, the Armor Revo Gene allows you to adapt in the long run.

Logitech G602 Review reported at 12:13 PM
category: Mice     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
"Overall Logitech has created one very efficient wireless gaming mouse, it's quite fast and very accurate, has an ergonomic shape, glides very well, has 11 programmable buttons, two different modes that give you up to 250 and 1440 hours of use respectively and it's very balanced in terms of weight. As mentioned however it's far from being the perfect wireless mouse (especially for gaming) and thus it walks away with our Golden Award."

Cooler Master CM 690 III Review reported at 11:42 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
"We were pleasantly surprised with how the manufacturer has managed to create a product so good while maintaining a low price. The CM 690 III is well made, the steel frame is solid and the finish is above average compared to competitors in the same price range. There is plenty of interior space, which may satisfy the need of almost any user. However, we have found a couple of downsides, for example, the panel that covers the I/O connectors and power/reset buttons is poorly designed and feels very cheap. Other than that we can't understand why Cooler Master got ride of the SATA how-swap bay, which has been one of the best features with the CM 690! Other than that the fans included are good but only feature 3-pin headers."

RaidMax Vampire Review reported at 11:37 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
"On a positive note, the large window gave us a full view of all our components when installed in the case and gave a slight blue glow from the installed blue LED fans installed during the build. Although this case has a few minor technical issues, this is an excellent case in the full tower category."

SilverStone Tundra TD03 Review reported at 11:30 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: Benchmark Reviews
Article Quote:
Even though the TD03 will probably end up scoring high enough for a Gold Tachometer award, I feel that a Silver is more appropriate as there is still some room for improvement. The performance is great and the product itself is a refreshing addition that brings premium materials and a touch of class to the popular AIO liquid cooler market. I’d love to see SilverStone take advantage of this and swap out those hoses for something even better, but overall I think I’ll be recommending the TD03 to anyone that’s looking for a nice-looking CPU water cooler that performs impressively well for the price. If I had to give a Gold Tachometer award to one AIO cooler right now, it’d still have to be the Swiftech H220 for it’s powerful pump, copper core radiator, expand-ability and quiet performance (even though they aren’t available in the US currently) – but the TD03 is a compelling option and a great choice. It definitely deserves a Silver Tachometer award – I can’t wait to see what SilverStone comes up with next.

Gainward GeForce GTX 760 Phantom Review reported at 11:02 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
Gainward’s GTX 760 Phantom is a true winner of a graphics card. It is super quiet, has higher than stock performance right out of the box, it looks great and it is reasonably priced given the unique cooler it uses. If you are looking for a high performance Nvidia graphics card, without the price premium of the higher end GPUs, then you cannot go wrong with the Gainward GTX 760 Phantom. The Gainward GTX 760 Phantom comes highly recommended from eTeknix and we definitely think it is worth paying that extra 10% over the price of a “normal “GTX 760 because it offers so much more.

Kingston HyperX 3K Review reported at 10:52 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Overclock Intelligence Agency
Article Quote:
From a performance standpoint, the HyperX 3K 240GB ranks right up there with the best SandForce SF-2281 drives we've tested. While it can't quite match some of the latest controllers to hit the market, it comes darn close and at a much more attractive price point.

Intel Core i7-4960X Review reported at 10:35 AM
category: Socket 2011     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
People might call out the overclocking as being poor but ultimately it isn’t really that different to what we saw in terms of the Sandy Bridge LGA 1155 to Ivy Bridge LGA 1155 transition. The maximum attainable overclock drops from the 5GHz region down to the 4.8GHz region while the sweet spot falls similarly from 4.7GHz to 4.5GHz. Of course with the higher IPC this means the Core i7 4960X at 4.5GHz is better than the Core i7 3960X at 4.7GHz for example, but let’s face it the difference is pretty small and certainly not enough to make the upgrade.
