HIS Radeon HD 7850 IceQ X Turbo X Review reported at 11:43 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Vortez
Article Quote:
The HIS HD7850 IceQ X is still a good graphics card. While newer cards are on the market, the HD7850 is still a very good entry/mid level buy and as long as you don't expect huge FPS, you won't be too disappointed.

OCZ Vertex 3.20 Review reported at 10:43 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
Besides, the OCZ Vertex 3.20 inherits all of the typical downsides of SandForce-based products such as not-very-high performance (by today's standards) which tends to degrade over time due to inefficient garbage collection algorithms. In other words, if you want a high-performance SSD, you should look elsewhere. OCZ itself offers faster alternatives in the way of the Vector and Vertex 4 series. And if you need an inexpensive SSD, the Vertex 3.20 may only be considered if it costs less than other SandForce-based products with synchronous flash.

Asus P8Z77-V LK Review reported at 10:41 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
Being perfectly suited for a modern PC, it doesn’t offer anything extraordinary but also has no functionality limitations. There are more expensive and sophisticated products, and there are simpler and cheaper ones, but the ASUS P8Z77-V LK is somewhere in between. We wouldn't call it a mediocrity. It’s rather closer to being the golden medium.

Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H Review reported at 10:39 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
However, we do not want to underestimate the value of numerous great features Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H has to offer, the most significant one being its problem-free behavior. This mainboard just works as expected. You don’t have to do anything to make your CPU work at its true nominal frequency. You don’t have to check out if the power-saving technologies are enabled or not. There are no BIOS update issues. It offers a lot of setup options and reacts adequately to any changes in them. Any configuration changes are quick and easy and the mainboard responds adequately to anything you do. There are mainboards with lots of additional controllers and extensive functionality and there are mainboards which are inexpensive and simple, but among both categories it is not so often that we find such a problem-free product as Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H.

Kingston HyperX Predator DDR3-2400 2x4GB Kit Review reported at 10:38 AM
category: DDR3 Memory     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
For most users, choosing memory is a very basic thing mainly based on looks rather than functionality. However, ensuring proper cooling is a priority at the high-end of performance, and many DIMMs fail under such conditions. The Kingston HyperX Predator is a wild animal that prowls through those harsh environments, but the abilities that make it so successful are also those holding it back. The large heatsink does pose a problem for most high-end air coolers, and their limited overclocking ability might turn some users off, but combined with cooling that is capable of dealing with the stress that others DIMMs are not capable of handling on their own, the Kingston HyperX Predator DIMMs do have an obvious niche of users whose needs the HyperX Predator sticks meet exceptionally well.

Fractal Design Node 605 Review reported at 10:34 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
At the end of the day this case does its job and will get you a home theater PC setup in no time. The only other issue is that you will not be able to use the slim-line optical drive if you are using a full sized ATX motherboard. Since many people are getting away from optical media this really should not be a big deal for most people. If you are looking to build a HTPC system this is a great case for it.

OCZ Vertex 3.20 Review reported at 10:32 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Techgage
Article Quote:
OCZ’s Vertex 3.20 is a welcome replacement to the venerable Vertex 3 and Agility 3 models, delivering good performance for a budget model while giving consumers a single product instead of a myriad of models to choose from. It is impressive to remember that the Vertex 3 first launched as OCZ’s flagship SSD two years ago and today consumers can get that level of performance from even a budget model SSD. Once the prices align with the current market, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Vertex 3.20 as one potential candidate when looking for an affordable solid-state drive.

OCZ Vertex 3.20 Review reported at 10:29 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
While we do not obtain performance records with the new Vertex 3.20, the drive is still very fast when used in a real-world environment. As the “older” Vertex 3 that we have tested for quite a while now in one of the systems, the revised 3.20 loads Windows 7 in a snap (the boot-up logo barely has enough time to appear).

Spire X2 6018 Review reported at 10:26 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
"So it really is a mixture of good and bad with the X2, it falls short of one of our awards but it doesn’t miss out on a recommendation from me as you can do a lot worse on a tight budget, but you can rarely do better, it’s capable of holding a moderately powerful system, a couple of graphics cards and the fan controller should help you balance performance and noise nicely. Overall it may not be perfect, but it’s not without its merits either."

HIS Radeon HD 7870 IceQ Turbo 2GB Review reported at 10:18 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
"Looking for a video card that can run most games at high details(up to Full HD Resolution), features massive overclocking from the factory and also sports a quiet and efficient cooling system? Then the 7850 IceQ Turbo 2GB GDDR5 might be quite the right choice, for a price that should not exceed 200 Euros."

PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 Myst Edition Crossfire Review reported at 10:13 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
As a single card the HD 7870 Myst edition is a great GPU that fits the price and performance points it is intended to fill. It offers better cooling and VRM components when compared to reference cards and just plain looks better overall. Even though Crossfire as a technology has its problems there is no doubt that many games are still playable at frame rates above what you see from a single card. In that respect if you have one of these Tahiti LE-based cards and want to improve gaming performance in games that are Crossfire optimized then spending another $229 will get you to the next level.

Logitech K310 Review reported at 10:09 AM
category: Keyboards     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
"Granted the price could be even less but let's not forget that we are talking about a Logitech product and not an OEM one so build quality and of course warranty are also large factors that determine the price of a product. Personally i don't really like wireless keyboards (at least in their current state) so the k310 has found a place right next to our small file server (meaning right next to several soda cans) and since this will probably be the father of all washable gaming keyboards to follow we are happy to award it with our Golden Award."

Crucial Ballistix Tactical & Sport Low Profile Kit Review reported at 10:03 AM
category: DDR3 Memory     website: Hardcoreware
Article Quote:
In my opinion, both these modules deserve recommendation for any mid-range PC build. DDR3-1600 is good to begin with, and there appears to be a lot of headroom behind both.
