Gigabyte Force M7 Thor Review reported at 05:05 PM
category: Mice     website: APH Networks
Article Quote:
The mouse wasn't exactly terrible in terms of usage; gaming wise, it was more than acceptable, but when it comes to productivity usage, it just falls short. Build quality wise, the mouse is pretty decent and well built, especially when one takes a look at the price which can be found on major retailers for only $30USD at press time. There may be some downsides to this mouse, but I can safely say that it doesn't need a total 'rewrite', and could just use some adjustments and possibly some design modifications, as the internals are still worthwhile, and the ideas behind it was sound. Let's just say if one can find this mouse comfortable and doesn't worry too much about the Teflon feet location, you have a decent mouse given the price.

Cooler Master HAF XB Review reported at 11:26 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Modders-Inc
Article Quote:
As a test bench the case performed OK as well. At first I was concerned that the frame of the case was going to get in the way. However, after using the case as a test bench for a couple of weeks I found this was not true. Swapping out components was easy and quick. Here is the stand out feature as a test bench for me and my particular situation. Right now I am limited in space so I cannot always have a test bench on my desk. The HAF XB allows me the ability to protect the components by installing the panels and putting the entire thing away which protects the components on the inside. Most other test benches do not have theat capability. Size is the only downside to using the HAF XB as a test bench as it is larger than most others.

DeepCool Frostwin Review reported at 11:20 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
Deepcool FROSTWIN turned out a pretty ordinary cooler with an average price, just one of the many already available in the today’s market. The ambitious dual-array heatsink with airflow optimizations, two fans, four heatpipes and Core Touch Technology in the base didn’t help it to become the segment leader. FROSTWIN also can’t boast superb noise readings, even though we were very hopeful it would. The indisputable advantages that remain are universal design, simple installation and reliable retention mechanism, as well as comparatively compact size. But, be honest, are these features really so unique these days? Not anymore. Hopefully, the larger NEPTWIN will make a better impression once we check it out. Time will show.

Asus GTX660 TI-DC2TG-2GD5 Review reported at 10:54 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
The ASUS GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC 2GB shows what a mainstream graphics card must be like, setting an example for other manufacturers to follow. It’s got an enhanced PCB with durable components, a pre-overclocked GPU with high frequency potential, and an impressively efficient DirectCU II cooler that can ensure low temperature at a very low, virtually silent, level of noise.

What we have here then is a good balance between value, performance, build quality, features and style. It’s for this solid mixture of capabilities that I am happy to award the Vulcan ANC with our Bang for Buck award, I simply can’t think of anything better within this price range.

AMD HD 7950 Boost vs. Nvidia GTX 660 Ti Review reported at 10:28 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Hardware.Info
Article Quote:
Based on this frametime test, we would choose the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti. Again it's clear that the average frames per second a video card is capable of doesn't tell the whole story in terms of real-life performance.

OCZ Vector Review reported at 10:25 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Benchmark Reviews
Article Quote:
OCZ is so confident of their Vector SSD that five years of warranty support go above and beyond what we've seen offered for their other product lines. Vector does cost a bit more than other recently launched solid state products, however this difference is offset by the product's performance, stability, and warranty features. Benchmark Reviews recognizes how well the OCZ Vector SSD delivers useful performance for power users and enthusiasts while still topping our performance charts in several tests, proudly earning our Golden Tachometer Award.

Cooler Master Seidon 240M Review reported at 10:23 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
Cooler Master’s Seidon 240M may not be without a few minor limitations, but overall it is still one of the best closed loop water cooling solutions currently available. If budget constraints place a Corsair H100i – let alone NZXT’s X60 - outside of your grasp, then the Seidon 240M would make an excellent price-conscious alternative.

Thermalright Archon SB-E X2 Review reported at 10:22 AM
category: CPU Coolers     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
Thermalright’s Archon SB-E X2 CPU cooler is enthusiast-class air cooling done faultlessly. If you are looking for the best air cooler on the market then this has got to be one of the top three contenders, if not the top contender, along with the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and Noctua NH-D14. What’s more impressive is it can offer that high level of performance and still manage to offer silence, top-notch build quality and an attractive price. Congratulations to Thermalright for this excellent product which we feel is deserving of the eTeknix Editor’s Choice award.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan Review reported at 09:59 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Tom's Hardware
Article Quote:
Gaming at 5760x1200 is sort of the jumping-off point where one GeForce GTX 690 starts to look questionable. Of course, then you’re talking about $2,000 worth of graphics hardware to either go four-way GK104s or two-way GK110s. To me, the choice is easy: a pair of GeForce GTX Titans is more elegant, lower-power, and set up to accept a third card down the road, should you hit the lottery.
