Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 G3 Review reported at 11:33 AM
category: Tape/Zip/Jaz Drives     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
Although the DataTraveler Ultimate G2 was and still is a good flash drive with good read/write speeds it has but one single flaw and that is its hard plastic and rather bulky casing. Well thanks to a retractable design casing made primarily by metal, a new controller and new flash memory chips the Ultimate G3 is not only almost twice as fast compared to its predecessor but it also looks and feels a lot better. I have to say that i was slightly surprised to see that Kingston used the same (more or less) casing for both the Ultimate G3 and the massive PREDATOR (i would expect something unique for a 512GB/1TB drive) but for owners of the Ultimate G3 that's a very good thing. The only downside i can think of is the exposed USB connector at all times (its front anyways) so one day i hope that manufacturers can come up with a way to solve this (and why not even make such drives water/dust proof while they are at it).

Rosewill Tachyon Review reported at 11:31 AM
category: Power Supplies     website: PC Perspective
Article Quote:
The new Rosewill Tachyon-1000 proved to be a good performer and offers solid features at a competitive price in the 1000W category. Voltage regulation, AC ripple suppression, and build quality were all very good. Our test unit struggled a little in meeting the 80Plus Platinum efficiency criteria but as we explained earlier this is most likely due to the difference between our real-world, elevated operating temperatures and the 80Plus organizations “room temperature” standard. The Tachyon-1000 features both fixed and modular cables which will appeal to some users and disappoint those looking for 100% modular.

LG IPS237L-BN Review reported at 11:30 AM
category: 20/22/24 INCH     website: Hardware.Info
Article Quote:
"The LG IPS237L-BN is an excellent monitor, that's definitely worth your consideration if you need a new 23-inch screen. That said, its performance is not quite on the level of the 27-inch IPS277L-BN. This is true for the brightness from various viewing angles, the colour temperature, colour fidelity and gamma values."

Asus Echelon Review reported at 11:22 AM
category: headsets     website: ocaholic
Article Quote:
"The ASUS Echelon Camo Edition is a very comfortable gaming headset which comes with very good drivers and a good microphone. To be honest, the drivers preset is good and it's even possible to listen to music with this gaming headset. Furhtermore also the microphone was able to convince. The quality is good and noise cancelling is working fine. We would have loved to see a software in the delivery or on ASUS download page which offers different audio presets. This would make the sound appealing to a wider audience. Furthermore it's a very easy way to optimize and improve the audio quality."

Roccat Lua Review reported at 11:17 AM
category: Mice     website: MadShrimps
Article Quote:
Those which enjoy simple mice without a lot of extra buttons will, without a doubt have fun with the LUA. The mouse is light and does not have a large footprint, making it ideal for gamers or regular users which have small and medium-sized hands. The scroll wheel has been designed in such a way so we won’t make mistakes when selecting a weapon in fast paced games like CounterStrike: Global Offensive or Source.

This is a great drive, slightly on the high end of the price bracket but worth every penny, the Kingston HyperX 3K outperforms 80% of the SSDs In its performance bracket by a mile. SilverStone Precision PS08 Review reported at 10:59 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
"Sure, a mid-tower chassis costs just as much and may give you more space to work with, but if you are looking for a mATX mini-tower chassis, especially while on a budget, the Precision PS08 is worth a long, hard look."

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD4H Review reported at 10:50 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: Ninjalane
Article Quote:
Overclocking the GA- Z77X-UD4H was pretty straight forward due in part to the familiar Gigabyte UEFI. The larger PWM really helped stabilize the system at higher speeds and seemed to lower the PWM load temperatures. It should be noted that memory overclocking on this motherboard is quite good. As Gigabyte explains it motherboards with less complex circuitry, like the UD4H, offer better signal integrity which, in turn, allows for higher memory frequencies than, say a ultra high end motherboard like the Z77X-UP7.

OCZ Vector Review reported at 10:48 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
OCZ's Vector line of solid state drives is every bit the performer that the Vertex 4 drives are with very few exceptions. In many of the tests, the two fastest drives were the Vertex 4 and OCZ's latest Indilinx Barefoot 3-equipped Vector. The only real weakness I saw was that the Vector was less frugal with the CPU cycles than the other Indilinx equipped drives. OCZ's move to the Barefoot 3 controller is beginning to pay dividends as it uses the technologies it has available in-house after the Indilinx and PLX acquisitions. It's taken a while to go all-in but that time has come. As the first totally in-house designed controller from OCZ, it seems to have hit on a controller that does better at managing real world usage scenarios and handling both compressible and incompressible data streams.

If you can justify the high price for what is arguably a work of peripheral art and can adjust to the unconventional fit in your hand, then the Level 10 M may be just your kind of mouse.

Asus GTX660 TI-DC2TG-2GD5 Review reported at 10:46 AM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
Bottom line, if you’re specifically after a mid-range NVIDIA powered card from Asus with a little bit extra then by all means go for it, but if you’re not brand conscious, then there are other options out there to consider for the money.
