BitFenix Ghost Review reported at 01:11 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
"BitFenix Ghost is advertised as being the choice for silent computing. Unfortunately, and that is one of the main reasons it will not get an Editor's Choice award, it is simply not such a case. While the use of sound-dampening material is a definitive plus, leaving a large opening in the top of the chassis voids all those efforts. This is not the case for you if your primary concern is getting a silent system by encapsulating the noise generated from your components. That said, the BitFenix Ghost is not bad at all. It offers a good feature-set for a case of this price category, including two retail Spectre fans, hot-swap, a cool paint-job, and the possibility to install Alchemy LED strips on its underside. The door, which swings open both ways, is pretty spiffy and well engineered. On top of that, you get a dedicated 3.5" bay - a seldom sight nowadays - and the ability to install a 240 mm radiator in the top, all right out of the box. Overall, the BitFenix Ghost brings a lot of cool aspects together for an appropriate price."

ASRock Z77 OC Formula Review reported at 12:38 PM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
Performance using our Intel core i5 3570K was very good and overclocking was great; however, the Z77 OC Formula showed low USB 3.0 speeds which was really the only thing negative we could find. In no way should this shy anyone away from the Z77 OC Formula. It is simply terrific. ASRock has come up with a seriously competitive overclocking board, gaming board or enthusiast’s board. Call it what you may, the ASRock Z77 OC Formula is a home run, and coming in at $239 is a seriously sweet deal for everything you get. This easily earns our Pure Overclock Editor’s Choice Award.

Intel Core i3 CPU Roundup reported at 12:35 PM
category: Intel Socket 1155 CPUs     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
Core i3 processors are not fit for enthusiasts. You can only overclock their graphics core, but the performance level in the nominal mode, though more than sufficient for many tasks, will hardly satisfy the advanced users’ cravings. So, dedicated explorers and enthusiasts who are looking for the lowest cost solutions out there, will still have to stay with various AMD CPUs, which do not limit overclocking and may often offer faster and more interesting integrated graphics.
