"With so many boards tested by us that use the Z77 chipset, this is certainly one that’s stood out by offering performance, overclockability, style, design, features and so much more, while keeping the price to a minimum. With that in mind, we’re happy to award the ASRock Z77 Pro4 with our Editor’s Choice Award."

Fractal Design Define R4 Review reported at 12:06 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: eTeknix.com
Article Quote:
I’m really lost on what else to say about this chassis, it delivers in every way that Fractal said it would, its style, performance, build quality and features are all superb, but its because of its careful attention to detail in its sound proofing and features like its removable padded fan mount covers are a great idea to help keep noise to a minimum, all of which is more than worthy of our Innovation Award, but since it ticks all the right boxes it will happily walk away today with our Editor’s Choice Award, I highly recommend this chassis, just get one with a side window so you can appreciate all of the design features.

Plextor M5 Pro Review reported at 12:05 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Hardware.Info
Article Quote:
We can basically write the same conclusion for the Plextor M5 Pro 256GB as we did for the 128GB model. It's the fastest SSD in its category. It set new records in AS SSD and PCMark Vantage, and came up 15 points short for the high score in PCMark 7. Very impressive figures indeed.

PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 PCS+ Review reported at 12:04 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
PowerColor's HD 7870 PCS+ Vortex II is one of the highest clocked HD 7870 cards out there. Thanks to the massive overclock out of the box, it has an 8% performance advantage over the HD 7870 reference design. This puts the card on the same performance level as the stock HD 7950. With that much power, it's a good choice for maximum-detailed full-HD gaming.

A-DATA XPG SX900 Review reported at 12:03 PM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
SSDs are slowly making their way further into the market and I have a feeling that they will eventually be in just about every late-model computer. We are already seeing them all over the place in netbooks, ultrabooks, desktops, RAID arrays, and more. For about the same price as other 550MB/s-capable drives in OCZ's lineup, it really comes down to personal choice and preference for brand name selection. The ADATA SX900 128GB would be a suitable choice for someone who desires to upgrade their computer cheaply and effectively and do so with a brand name that's been in the business and market of data storage for many years.

Phanteks PH-TC14CS Review reported at 12:01 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
It’s sad but this test session is incomplete just because the Phanteks PH-TC14CS turned out to be but one half of a super-cooler both from a technical standpoint and in actual performance. The small total effective cooling surface of its heatsink, the excessive height (for a down-draft cooler) with the top fan attached and, consequently, the high dependence on the type of the system case, the convex base and, possibly, the poor contact between the heat pipes and that base, the difficult installation procedure and limited compatibility – all these do not make the Phanteks PH-TC14CS such a good choice.

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 TH & GA-Z77X-UP5 TH Review reported at 11:38 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
Summing up the results of our today’s review of Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 TH and Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH mainboards we should definitely once again point out their numerous advantages. The boards have very smart and balanced layout, their functionality has been enhanced with a number of additional controllers, they support all contemporary interfaces including the latest Thunderbolt. Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 TH is a well-balance product for every-day type of tasks, while higher-end Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH boasts large accessories bundle and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies thanks to GC-WB300D add-on card. The distinguishing feature of Gigabyte mainboards on Intel Z77 Express chipset is the mSATA connector that allows taking advantage of such technologies as Intel Smart Response or Intel Rapid Start. Gigabyte mainboards have been long known for their remarkable attention to detail. Is it these mainboards that were the first to start using color-coding for the front panel button and indicator connectors, to start marking the slots not only on the textolite next to them, but also inside the slots and connectors themselves. Today we are definitely pleased to see convenient wide latches on the graphics card slots and helpful color-coding of the memory DIMM slots. We are particularly pleased with the quality of the new Gigabyte 3D BIOS, which offers not only the basic functionality for successful system overclocking and fine-tuning, but also Gigabyte’s unique distinguishing features, such as ability to adjust the rotation speed of the processor cooling fan even for three-pin fans and automatic saving of the latest settings profile after a successful system startup.
