Asus P8-Z77V Pro Review reported at 12:53 PM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: Overclock3D.Net
Article Quote:
So the ASUS P8 Z77V Pro then. It's well built, with an array of nice features, plentiful connectivity and a great BIOS. It's not worth upgrading to until the CPUs come along that can really take advantage of the various features. Looking at it purely as a motherboard for a 2nd Generation CPU it is a good performer with just enough extra bells and whistles to make it worthy of consideration and for that reason we're going to award it our OC3D Silver Award.

Biostar TZ77XE4 Review reported at 12:48 PM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
The steps Biostar has taken from even the Z68 motherboards represents positive change and change generally comes from the top. The few small details within the BIOS and TOverclock can surely evolve and Biostar is on the move. We loved every minute we had this board on the test bench and that is not always easy to say. This board isn't quite as feature rich as others on the market, nor quite as refined, but for the more budget-oriented consumer with a price of $170, it's a straightforward product that's a real performance monster.

MSI Z77A-GD65 Review reported at 12:42 PM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
Performance and overclocking was terrific with the Z77-GD65. OC Genie proved very effective with a 4.2GHz 100% stable overclock with a push of a button. The Voltage Checkpoint makes it an enthusiast treat, and we reached a manual overclock high on our Sandy Bridge 2600K of 5.2GHz which is icing on the cake. Overclocking is about potential and the Z77-GD65 has some serious punch.

Intel Z77 Motherboard Review reported at 12:16 PM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: HardwareHeaven
Article Quote:
So that brings us to the MSI Z77A-GD55 which, even at the introduction of a new architecture, sits at the top end of the market. The use of high quality components and proven design aspects from their other enthusiast boards gives us peace of mind and the great features like Click BIOS, M-Flash, status LEDs and voltage read points add to the feel of quality. Performance is in line with the other boards in this test and overclocking is just a case of pushing a single button to enhance performance making this the ideal Z77 board for those looking to maximise performance on a budget.

HEC Cougar Evolution Review reported at 12:10 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
The Evolution Full Tower by Cougar is currently available at around USD100 inside the USA (Newegg) and at 110Euros inside the EU, a price range which is mostly filled with midi towers. Regardless of the price however the Evolution Full Tower has a single important drawback and that's the rather small drive cage which can only accommodate up to four 3.5"/2.5" disk drives. Personally i can't say that i need more for this particular test rig but many people may not like that small limitation. Granted you can get 5.25" to 3.5" adapters to mount more drives but it's just not the same not to mention the extra cost. Overall the Cougar Evolution Full Tower is a very good PC Case with great quality, balanced design, plenty of features and a very tempting price tag which is why it gets our Golden award.

Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Overclock Edition Review reported at 12:08 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
Either way, we do love this card in terms of aesthetics, performance, and temperatures, and the bottom line is the Sapphire 7970 OC is an excellent product. However, it's also a victim of AMD's pricing scheme that's strategically being kept high, at least for now. And unfortunately that puts a damper on what is otherwise a great graphics card.

HEC Cougar Evolution Review reported at 11:50 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Test Freaks
Article Quote:
The Cougar Evolution case is certainly one that can appreciate as it’s got plenty of room to work and fit large sized video cards. The inclusion of the SATA dock comes in handy for quick and easy file transfers from any drives you’ve got floating around. The fan controller is a nice addition and it’s simple to use. The Evolution case allows you to install up to six fans and control them with the controller for when you need more cooling or for when you want a quieter system. The case is very well made, it’s sturdy and designed well and I think it looks great personally.

Asus P67 Sabertooth TUF Review reported at 11:49 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: Ninjalane
Article Quote:
Performance is what we had expected for a system of this caliber and it is no secret that the motherboard has less to do with overall system performance and more to do by enabling system tweaks, overclocking, and basic hardware support. We stopped our overclocking adventure at 4.7Ghz which is quite impressive considering that the Sabertooth is designed for stability and not marketed at the gamer or overclocking enthusiast. It just goes to show that with quality components you can push things a little further and expect good results.

Thermaltake Commander MS-I USB 3.0 Review reported at 11:48 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: KitGuru
Article Quote:
The tool free drive mechanisms are made of plastic which is clearly implemented to maintain aggressive pricing. It isn’t ideal, but we do expect some compromises to achieve such a tight price point.

Corsair Vengeance M60 Review reported at 11:46 AM
category: Mice     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
The Corsair Vengeance M60 is not the first gaming mouse Corsair has ever produced; it’s just the first really really good mouse Corsairs ever produced. It’s one product in a recent line of products from Corsair that scream quality. I don’t know who Corsair hired to make such drastic changes to their gaming peripherals but that person needs a raise. They are quickly becoming a threat to companies like Razer and Matcatz and who wouldn’t have seen that from a memory manufacturing company.

Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K4000 Review reported at 11:45 AM
category: SATA Hard Drives     website: NikKTech
Article Quote:
Monstrous capacity disk drives have always been expensive especially at their launch so it comes as no surprise that the single and only drawback of the Deskstar 7K4000 by Hitachi GST is it's price tag since currently this particular package retails at around USD420 inside the USA and 350Euros inside the EU. Of course not everyone needs 4TB of space so the Deskstar 7K4000 line is targeted at a specific part of the market which includes professionals and enthusiasts who can put to use any HDD regardless of size. Personally i have far too many TB's of data (mostly backup) so unless we see an 50TB drive soon i will always need many huge capacity drives to cover my needs and since the Deskstar 7K4000 not only proved to be very fast but it also features the highest available capacity (single drive) at the moment i am awarding it with our Platinum award.

Intel Z77 Motherboard Review reported at 11:33 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
Price is comparable with the current crop of Z68 motherboards at $189, so there is no reason to start off with an earlier chipset board with the feature set on the Z77 PCH equipped MSI Z77A-GD65. With Tri-SLI and CrossfireX on a PCIe 3.0 bus as options with future products the performance only looks to scale upwards. Utilize Intel Smart Response and Rapid Start technologies and we could be looking at a new level of performance. Add in MSI's reliability standards using Hi-c Caps, Super Ferrite chokes, Active Phase switching and a solid BIOS, the MSI Z77A-GD65 has potential.

MSI Z77A-GD65 Review reported at 11:28 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: Benchmark Reviews
Article Quote:
The functional differences between Z68 and Z77 and much smaller than between P67 and Z68. If you're building a new rig from scratch, though, this would make an excellent platform to work with, even with Sandy Bridge CPUs.

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H Review reported at 11:18 AM
category: Socket 1155 Motherboards     website: ThinkComputers
Article Quote:
Once again Gigabyte has impressed us with a very solid motherboard. The Z77X-UD3H sits in the mid to high mainstream segment when it comes to their Z77 offerings and users of this board are going to be very impressed. I really, really like the board design and layout. That dark gunmetal color looks good inside of any case! The layout of the board is just exceptional, having the reset CMOS, reset and power buttons at the top of the board is well thought out. It is likely that at the top of the board they are not going to be covered, making them easier to access. Also having the USB 3.0 header in the center of the board is definitely a plus.

Thermaltake Commander MS-I USB 3.0 Review reported at 11:07 AM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
I cannot say I’d be jumping to buy this case, as I feel it isn’t quite the quality that Thermaltake usually reaches. But, it is much cheaper than a lot of their "nice"cases. Overall I’m not impressed, it being much like another case that has disappointed me. I can’t be any more enthusiastic about being disappointed now twice.
