category: Power Supplies     website: PC Perspective
Article Quote:
The Thermaltake Toughpower Cable Management 1350W power supply delivered very good efficiency and easily met the 80 PLUS Silver certification criteria, even when operating at higher, real-world operating temperatures. It also delivered very good voltage regulation with clean DC outputs. The Toughpower 1350W PSU includes an excellent assortment of fixed and modular cables with up to eight PCI-E connectors and comes with a 5-year warranty.

SilverStone SST-TJ04-E Review reported at 02:34 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Overclock3D.Net
Article Quote:
A stunning looking case oozing style and quality. More than ample storage options, reasonable cooling for a case of this type although a little louder than it could have been. A bit of a fiddle to build into but with some genuine areas of innovation and cast iron build quality.

Noctua NF-F12 PWM & NF-P12 PWM Review reported at 02:14 PM
category: Case Cooling Solutions     website: APH Networks
Article Quote:
The only thing I could complain about is its higher pitched noise emissions at high RPMs, but you are not likely to plug it in and run it at full speed 24/7 anyway. Now, the NF-P12 PWM. Built upon a proven design since 2007, the NF-P12 continues the legacy of what it takes to make a quality fan -- good airflow, good static pressure, and low noise. I am kind of surprised the new optimizations made to the NF-F12 has not found its way onto the NF-P12 PWM, but overall, it is a great all-round performance fan that quiet PC enthusiasts and hardcore users alike cannot miss.

Don't get us wrong, the Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus is a pretty darn good case, offering an amazing amount of features for the price. But the small drawbacks here and there can really add up.

Thermaltake Overseer RX-I Review reported at 01:58 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
Overall, it's a pretty solid case, and I can see myself using it for my secondary build for some time to come. It's smaller than the HAF 932, which is nice even after all my love for that 932. Once you "burn" off that weird plastic smell that it emits for the first week or so, she's so silent you hardly know you even have a computer anymore. I was honestly worried my CPU fans weren't even running because it was so quiet. The hot-swap bay on top is just icing on the cake. I'm not completely infatuated with its appearance, but the quietness and performance almost find my true love.

Intel Core i7-3820 Review reported at 01:57 PM
category: Intel Socket 1155 CPUs     website: Computer Ed
Article Quote:
I know this might not be what Intel wants to hear but what I got from reviewing the 3820 is what a great chip the 2500K is. Now that being said do not take my position to mean I think the 3820 is a bad chip. With a reasonable, sub $300 price the 3820 is a great chip to allow a professional using memory intense software, a way to get into the 2011 platform at a more reasonable price. You get the performance of a solid quad core processor with hyper threading and the power of quad channel memory plus the ability to really put in massive amounts of RAM. However the claim by Intel of a platform that will let you dominate gaming is just not there. Sure it can be a brute of a gaming platform but at the end of the day the 1155 platform can deliver the same gaming experience for less money and you can use the savings to boost other areas of the gaming PC and actually get a more powerful system for the same money for your games.

MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC Review reported at 01:48 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
MSI could not provide a final price for the card yet, but we assume it will clock in at $480, like the other custom-design HD 7950 cards. If you look for additional cooling, or want to reduce the noise levels over the AMD reference design, the cost seems justified. Just for overclocking potential, to maximize price/performance, $30 will not be worth it. Just like all other HD 7900 series cards from all manufacturers, the pricing feels a tad bit high, but that's not MSI's fault. It seems AMD is keeping prices high to reap the benefits of being first to market.
