| Asus P7P55D Premium Review reported at 03:32 PM |
| category: Socket 1156 Motherboards website: Motherboards.org |
 | Article Quote: This board is ASUS’s most feature-rich P55 Express board with all of the features that came with the ASUS P7P55D Deluxe board but adding the new SATA 6 Gb/second interface, making it the board of choice for those wanting the most features on a new motherboard with this chipset. ASUS has really gone the extra mile with their performance, overclocking, and the inclusion of the TurboV Remote which is a great feature allowing tweaking of the board without going into the BIOS. The P55 chipset with the Lynnfield CPU combination is an excellent compromise of high performance and a decent price while adding new features to the Intel platform. This board receives an Editor’s Choice award due to the features it offers and its excellent design. | | more info:·neoprofile ·more p/reviews |
| Asus Radeon HD 5850 Review reported at 03:02 PM |
| category: Game Accelerator Cards website: TestSeek |
 | Article Quote: I must first praise AMD for the work they have done with this card. It is both energy efficient and a high performer, very impressive. Asus has taken AMDs reference design and added a lot of value to it with their smart technologies and software tools.
The main advantage with this Asus card is of course its overclocking abilities which are nothing short of fantastic. | | more info:·neoprofile |
| Patriot Viper II Sector 5 PC3-16000 Kit Review reported at 02:35 PM |
| category: DDR3 Memory website: Overclockers Club |
 | Article Quote: Not only do the Sector 5 modules perform well, they also are using what is called the Advanced Aluminum heatspreader that does the job it is designed to do and keeps the modules cool. Of course, additional airflow over the modules is a good thing to have when beating on them trying to get the most from them. The red and black theme should go well with just about any build and looked right at home in the ASUS Maximus III Formula motherboard used as the test bed. The addition of the activation key for the full version of 3DMark Vantage is a nice added bonus that adds value to the purchase. Pricing on the Sector 5 modules, as you can guess, come in at a premium price point of about 175 bucks, but this still puts the modules about $55 less than the Dominator GTs from Corsair, while featuring the same timings. The old saying goes, you get what you pay for! Performance, good looks, cooling, XMP profile, and a Lifetime warranty, make these modules ones to keep on your short list. | | more info:·neoprofile |
| Ultra X4 500W Review reported at 01:07 PM |
| category: Power Supplies website: DriverHeaven |
 | Article Quote: The overall performance of the Ultra X4 500W unit is good. Most enthusiasts would class its electrical performance as middling because it offers good electrical efficiency but has average performing voltage regulation capabilities - that said the performance is better than many similar units in the same category. The good heatsinks improve the thermal and acoustics performance, which when combined with the modular design makes the 500W X4 a very solid choice for discerning HTPC users. | | more info:·neoprofile ·more p/reviews |
| Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 Review reported at 01:01 PM |
| category: Socket 1156 Motherboards website: PC Perspective |
 | Article Quote: If I had any gripes about this board it would have the lack of USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s support. The new P55A line from Gigabyte might overshadow this board series because of its support for SATA 6GB/s and USB 3.0. While their aren't a lot of devices that support these new technologies yet, many consumers will most likely want a motherboard that supports future technologies and devices so they don't have to upgrade to another motherboard or purchase an add-on card that's compatible with USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s.
But, as those boards are released, hopefully Gigabyte will put these P55s into a better price point that will make it more of an economical decision for consumers instead of a feature-based one. If both boards are at the same price point, I'd be crazy not to recommend the P55A boards to put under someone's Christmas tree this holiday season. | | more info:·neoprofile ·more p/reviews |
| Gigabyte GA-MA785GPMT-UD2H Review reported at 12:58 PM |
| category: Socket AM3 website: Techware Labs |
 | Article Quote: The primary target of this board is clearly the HTPC market. Adding a CPU, some RAM, a power supply, a hard drive, a dvd drive and a case yields a functional system for ~$450 at time of publication. With investment in a better CPU, faster RAM and a separate graphics card, this board could easily be the core of a fairly respectable LAN gaming rig for not more than $700. Either way, this is one mighty mite of a motherboard, and definitely worth a look. | | more info:·neoprofile ·more p/reviews |
| Cooler Master HAF 922 Review reported at 12:53 PM |
| category: Computer Cases/Enclosures website: Guru3d |
 | Article Quote: We like the HAF 922 very much and in it's genre it's just as respectable as the 932 version is, perhaps even a little better here and there. The Cooler Master HAD 922 be found for 80 EUR / 90 USD in e-tail at the time of writing this article, and we feel that is a fair price for a product that just makes a lot of sense. Definitely recommended. | | more info:·neoprofile ·more p/reviews |
| Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 & P55M-UD4 Review reported at 12:40 PM |
| category: Socket 1156 Motherboards website: Neoseeker |
 | Article Quote: To wrap this up, Gigabyte has come up with two very solid motherboards. Sitting at the top, the P55-UD6 was able to offer everything we expect from a board of this caliber. The board has lots of things for it, but the competition is right up there as well. The P55M-UD4 is the higher end of their mATX, although at $149 it's still affordable and an excellent value as well. It performs well and it's loaded with features. If you don't need the extra expansion provided by an ATX board, this is one should be on your short list. | | more info:·neoprofile ·more p/reviews |
