Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 & 5750 Vapor-X Review reported at 03:42 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
After looking at many of Sapphire's Vapor-X lineup, I have to say that the Vapor-X lineup delivers the goods, in terms of performance and cooling, with the overhead available to increase the level of graphics performance without fear of overheating the video card. In the past, ATI cards were notoriously hot running, but not anymore.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X Review reported at 03:37 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
Sapphire's Radeon 5870 Vapor-X is a very impressive graphics card, posting some eye-watering results and sitting atop the proverbial performance heap as king of the hill, at least for the time being. There are one or two competing 5870 products that may offer higher overclocking potential (and we'll be looking at them shortly), but if you want top performance in a cool and quiet setup without any hassle or tweaking, the Sapphire Radeon 5870 Vapor-X is about as good as it gets.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X Review reported at 03:35 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Benchmark Reviews
Article Quote:
In summary, there's a long future ahead for the entire Radeon HD 5000 series; especially with the HD5870 and Sapphire's Vapor-X design. DirectX 11 is the future of gaming, whether the competition likes it or not, and ATI has a huge head-start on absorbing an early market share. Eyefinity is a nice touch and it certainly adds to the gaming experience, but there's such an incredibly small portion of potential users for the technology that in reality the Radeon 5800 series has only its shear graphics power to make the sales pitch. I give my recommendation for the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X DirectX 11 video card 100281VXSR for high-performance gamers interested in unparalleled frame rates, and multi-monitor power users wanting triple-panel diversity.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X Review reported at 03:30 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
Without a doubt, Sapphire’s Vapor-X is the current torch bearer for a new generation of HD 5870 cards that will offer increased performance, cooling and even longevity over their reference brethren. While there may still be some nagging doubts about availability and final retailer pricing, if you are looking for a HD 5870 the Vapor-X version is the one you should be looking at. As such, it receives our Dam Good Award.

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3R Review reported at 03:18 PM
category: Socket 1156 Motherboards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
What you get with the GA-P55-UD3R is a board that comes in at an attractive price point ($139) that drops the performance hammer when you push the clock speeds. Even though it has a lesser feature set, the features it comes with will work for the majority of people. The GA-P55-UD3R delivers great overclocking and a great price.

AMD Athlon II X3 425 Review reported at 01:15 PM
category: Socket AM3 CPUs     website: techPowerUp!
Article Quote:
If more budget CPU power is needed, Athlon II X3 or X4 models are a great choice, and for budget gamers Phenom II X3 models are still the best. As for our Athlon II X3 425 model, considering the price/performance/power consumption/overclocking, it really is in the middle of everything, and makes it harder to draw the line when you really need more than two, and fewer than four CPU cores.

Antec Mini Skeleton Review reported at 01:05 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: Tweak Town
Article Quote:
All things considered, I am left with an overwhelming feeling of novelty. While it is an attractive piece of hardware, the sheer size of things makes it really impractical, unless you are building the system around this chassis from the start. My thoughts are this; if you are building a mITX system, it’s usually HTPC or browsing / e-mail builds. This puts them, most likely, in higher traffic areas. The open air design is great to look at, but one mistake of a spilled drink, or mischievous children’s hands, I think the novelty will quickly wear off.

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Review reported at 01:03 PM
category: Socket AM3 CPUs     website: Overclock3D.Net
Article Quote:
So in conclusion if you have an AMD motherboard or are looking to build a system on a budget, this processor is highly recommended. It's got enough grunt to power some heavyweight applications and yet still provide good gaming performance. In fact the money you save basing your system on this great value chip could easily be spent on a 5850 or similar and we are in no doubt that the AMD Athlon II 620 X4 could provide the required grunt to make it sweat. Highly recommended and I have absolutely no qualms about giving it the OC3D Value For Money Award. A 3.25GHz Quad Core for around £80 seems to good to be true, and yet isn't. Congratulations to AMD.

Titan Skalli Review reported at 12:43 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: PureOverclock.com
Article Quote:
At $30 USD, the Skalli offers great aesthetics and very easy installation; it is a good all-around cooler for Core i5/i7 systems, runs quiet, and offers good cooling and moderate overclocks at a good price. It doesn't excel in any one category or criteria, but they it does a very nice job in all of them. If you're looking for a new Socket 1156/1366 cooler for your new Core i5/i7 system and don't expect top overclocks, but want a quiet cooler in a smallform design, take a look at the Titan Skalli, it's worth checking out.
