For most it's going to come down to the money and the problem is value is going to be completely dependent on the user and what they want. If you're going to run your system at stock these are terrible value. On the other hand, if you want some fast high quality modules that look and perform great, the overall value of them is excellent. This kit here today continues to let us know that the Dominator GT name gives us the highest quality of memory. If you want to spend money and need to see some serious MHz then take a serious look at these Corsair Dominator GT modules.

Asus EAH4770/HTDI/512MD5 Review reported at 02:45 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Overclockers Club
Article Quote:
Asus has designed a card that uses what it calls the "Ultimate Armaments" to build a card that performs well not only at stock speeds but to push the envelope when overclocked. Lower RDS on MOSFETs that run cooler, solid capacitors for a longer service life, shielded DVI connections for improved clarity and covered chokes for cooler operation and better efficiency are the things that ASUS uses to separate its products from the reference design cards. Pricing on the reference HD 4770 cards runs anywhere from $99 to $119, which is right at the price point for many of the reference design HD 4850s, which could put a crimp in the sales of the 4770. Rumors of a shortage of 40nm chips may have prompted AMD/ATI to drop the price on the HD 4850 to keep the pressure on nVidia at this price point since really this is where the money is made for the most part. What you have in the Asus EAH4770 is a video card that performs above its price point when overclocked, delivers cooling performance without the noise penalty associated with AMD/ATI reference heatsinks and is built with high quality components for a price that won't break the bank.

Antec Mini P180 & NSK6580B Review reported at 12:44 PM
category: Computer Cases/Enclosures     website: X-bit labs
Article Quote:
Talking about the specific products discussed in this review, the Antec Mini P180 has made more vivid impression, of course. The company has indeed managed to reduce the size of Performance One system cases while keeping all of their advantages. The resulting product has a standard size, good cooling, excellent sound insulation, and handy design. There is only one thing that can repel some users from it: it is meant for microATX mainboards only. If you don’t have anything against such mainboards, you may find this system case to be the rare example of a lucky compromise of features. The Antec NSK6580B is simpler both externally and internally. In fact, it is comparable to many midrange system cases that are meant just to work properly rather than to impress the user in some way or another. And this product does its job well. Even with one 120mm fan it effectively cooled all system components in my tests, including four HDDs.

Asus Maximus II GENE Review reported at 12:40 PM
category: Socket 775 Motherboards     website: HardwareCanucks
Article Quote:
Overall though, this motherboard is arguably a dream come true for those who like the mATX standard and who have been patiently waiting for a proper enthusiast-class LGA775 motherboard to hit the market. Sure, Intel is releasing a brand new mainstream platform very soon, but the Intel Core 2 / P45 chipset combo will be not disappearing anytime in the near future, and can still make a potent little configuration when centered around the MIIG. The Maximus II GENE does have one Achilles' Heel at the moment...availability. This model cannot be found in-stock, or even for sale, anywhere in North America. We also don't yet have a firm confirmation as to how much it will cost, and that will also obviously be a determining factor as to whether this model is a worthwhile purchase.

Asus ENGTX275/HTDI/896MD3 Review reported at 12:39 PM
category: Game Accelerator Cards     website: Neoseeker
Article Quote:
With the ENGTX275, Asus once again shows how it has managed to prosper for so long: by offering, once again, a solid build with good components, a complete bundle (including the useful Asus SmartDoctor software), at a fair price.

Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H Review reported at 12:38 PM
category: Socket AM2     website: Hardware Zone
Article Quote:
Finally, at US$119, it is a far cry from the prices that you'll be expected to fork out for enthusiast grade motherboards but a check with online retailers showed AM3 motherboards to be going for a similar range of prices, with at most ten dollars difference between this Gigabyte board and other AM3 boards. In which case, it boils down to whether you're willing to stump up the price difference for DDR3 memory. In short, it weakens the proposition of this motherboard, since we believe there's a group of DIY consumers who are likely to go for the newer technology (DDR3) given similar motherboard prices. By itself, it's a decent motherboard with features and convenience to match but we would have hoped for a more attractive price point.

CoolIT Domino A.L.C. Review reported at 12:32 PM
category: CPU Coolers     website: Overclock Intelligence Agency
Article Quote:
Overall I've been a lot more impressed with the Domino than I thought I would be going into this review. Most surprising was the simulated results, showing it's a very capable cooler. It's a tough call when it comes to recommending this over a lot of the high end air heat sinks however. It's a few more pennies, but it does offer a little more versatility via it's three performance levels.
