Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu User ReviewsPC
Silent in Normal mode and truly non existent in Silent mode. As an air cooler this is certainly the "BEST" on the market. The bad:
Need to remove the motherboard to installSummary:
Simply a silent extremely efficient CPU cooler. Since install my temps (overclocked XP2600 running at 2.25Ghz) remain consistently at 40c in idle whereas with all previous coolers my temps remained in the high 40's. Includes a fan speed controller

I wanted to make a quiet computer so I used the zalman heatsink along with a silenx power supply and I must say, wow. My system is running quiet and cool and I don't have to sacrifice performance or stability! It's quiet heavy and bulky so you have to make sure there's enough clearance to install this sucker, I had to bend a capacitor just slightly to make sure it installed properly. I don't have a noise measuring device but it is definitely quieter than the stock heatsink, which should come ...
