2.0

YP-E64

The good:

Worked OK for 2 years

The bad:

Crap technology and sypport.

Summary:

What they don't tell you is that the unit can't cope with more than a 32meg upgrade despite what the documentation says. The USB connector is virtually impossible to get hold of. I've upgraded my windows operating system and now I have to throw the thing in the bin - it won't work with the newer version of windows. Samsung don't seem to be interested in the E64 units now, they want to focus on their newer units. I sure won't buy from this vendor again.

Dr.

The good:

size, colour

The bad:

I can´t use it with newest Windows versions than Winodows Me

Summary:

In my opinion, the worst thing that can happened with technology is that you suddenly have to place it with rubbish
I would like to use my Yepp E64 with Windows Xp and I can´t because Samsung hasn´t actualized the driver yet.
HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE?

3.0

For what it costed, I expected something better

The good:

It's not as ugly as the Rio

The bad:

slow USB adapter, paint on plastic parts fades, slow operation, buttons too easily pressed-(using keyhold is a hassle)

Summary:

The USB adapter is just as slow as the parallel cable. Also, if you live outside of the US, ordering it will incur a hefty import fee (almost as much as the adapter itself).

The player also crashes sometimes, requiring you to take out the batteries.

For music at 256kbps or greater, the player's display seems to replace the "2" for a "0" so it reads "056kbps"

This is just... PERFECT!

The good:

Everything! The sound is excellent, it's light, sexy, and it shows quality!

The bad:

Nothing! It's unbelieveable!

Summary:

I bought a Nomad II player and my wife bought a Yepp-E64. Mine wasn't to good after I saw her's! I just love the Yepp! It is so sexy, excellent sound quality, upgradeable and so on!

8.0

My YEPPer, my opinion.

The good:

Comes with 64mb of mem, with a slot for up to %50 more. Oh my!

The bad:

Is slower than my old Rio 300 on loading the MP3s. Snore zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Summary:

My favorite feature of my YEPP, compared to my old RIO, is the amount of memory. Memory, good. It is also prettier (more handsome?) than my RIO, but how far will that take you when it is tucked in your pocket while you're mowing the grass?
