Kingston & OCZ PC3-14400 Kit Review - DriverHeaven
OCZ and Kingston use Micron Z9 chips for their DDR3-1800 and both are designed to use timings of 8-8-8-24 so in each of our tests the two products perform at a similar level. There are minor variances throughout but neither set of sticks are easy to recommend over the other. The same can be said of each company’s warranty, both offer Lifetime... although the OCZ warranty does cover their sticks for use at higher voltages, making them slightly more desirable for extreme overclocking. It was actually in regards to overclocking where it was possible to separate the brands a little. We were impressed with both products ability to run at enhanced speeds but it was the OCZ modules which had a slight edge when tightening timings or increasing the clocks.

Corsair/Kingston/OCZ/Super Talent DDR3-1800 Kit Roundup - LegitReviews.com
The take-home message here is that all the kits are using the same PCB design with the same brand memory IC's. With a little extra voltage here and there, and a BIOS timing adjustment, they can all run 7-7-7 or 8-8-8 timings just fine. Which one you buy is up to you of course, and since they are all nearly identical, the price becomes the biggest factor as well as brand loyalty. When it comes to pricing Kingston seems to have all the others beat when it comes to that. All of the modules come back with a lifetime warranty, so if any kit ever fails it will be covered for the life that you own it.

DDR3-1800 Memoy Kit Roundup - X-bit labs
Xbit Labs chooses Corsair Dominator TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF G: this memory worked with more aggressive timings than the competitors’ solutions, and besides, it comes with an active cooling system that will fit great into any overclocker system.

These OCZ DDR3-1800 PC3-14400 Platinum Series 2Gb kits are one of the fastest DDR3 memory we've tested to date. They overclock extremely well and the lower latency really makes it the choice of the enthusiast. If you've got the money to invest in these modules, then I would definitely recommend them ... Start saving up!
Considering that the OCZ Value Pro memory costs less than $70 US and can almost provide you with the same level of performance as DDR3-1800 memory that costs around $750 US makes this new high-speed DDR3 memory difficult to recommend. Especially when you consider the fact that this new OCZ DDR3 PC3-14400 Platinum Edition memory actually costs more than a GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics card and I know which of the two will better enhance your gaming experience. With that in mind there is simply no way we are going to recommend that anyone goes out and purchases DDR3 memory at this point in time.

There is no guarantee that it will reach that speed on other motherboards, but the fact that it painlessly reached it on our Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi test bench is a very good sign; as (unfortunately) a lot of high-spec modules are only validated on a specific motherboard. The last super highend DDR3 memory module we tested was the Super Talent DDR3-1866, which for example gave us some headaches on a couple of boards, but did run at spec on the ASUS Blitz. If you are looking for a high-performance DDR3 module, you can't go wrong with the OCZ DDR3 PC3-14400.
OCZ has created some great memory modules once again. While DDR3 is still very new on the market, the new CPUs with higher FSB take advantage of the higher frequencies possible with DDR3. The PC3-14400 Platinum Kit is perfectly balanced, so you will be able to get the most out of a high-end system no matter if you have limited voltage or timing options available in the BIOS. But considering the price of these Kits, it is certainly aimed at early adoptors who want to get the most out of their systems. If you are in the market for solid memory on the newest boards like the X38 or upcoming X48 and AMD chipsets, then the OCZ PC3-14400 should be a great choice.
