"In summary, I found the OCZ ModXStream 780W OCZ780MXS to be perfect for mid to high-range computer systems requiring only two PCI-Express connectors. The ModXStream doesn't go over the top, but it still offers plenty of value for the design features and performance you receive. With a little refinement, the ModXStream series could easily prove itself king of the hill; especially if the price remains as competitive as it is now."
"...an expensive PSU but when compared against other similar PSU's that feature modular cables it is fairly priced. Of course a power supply like this is probably over-doing it for users that are running a conservative hardware setup with only one graphic card and a couple hard drives. However, when we look at system featuring several SATA hard drives running in RAID, a couple graphic cards, and a high end CPU, a reliable and capable power supply like the ModXStream and GameXStream are definitely reasonable power supply solutions."
"Overall, the ModXStream 780W is a nice PSU that most users will find quiet and stable."
"The OCZ ModXstream 780W is a good power supply unit. It has a high power output, excellent voltage lines and it is very efficient. Aesthetically we believe it is pleasant enough to appeal to everybody and it is also quiet enough. The modular design is certainly going to make it very popular as it is preferred by people who like their system tidy. Overall, it is a good unit which ought to keep everyone satisfied. However, being a jack of all trades but master of none it has a few shortcomings. Users looking for PSUs with specific advantages such as noiseless operation or higher performance will probably have to look elsewhere. Finally, the build quality of the ModXstream leaves something to be desired if you take into consideration the price tag on its box. OCZ offers a good and long warranty and the unit works and performs fine, yet the hardcore user will most likely be left wanting for more."
"...we feel confident in the ModXStream's ability to power an enthusiast level rig, whether you're running dual videocards, overclocking, or both. And when it comes to attention to detail, we love that OCZ went the extra mile to sheath the cables in between connectors, an area we've seen too many other manufactures skimp. Pricing is on par with other offerings in it's class, but as we've said before, OCZ's customer support remains a cut above the competition. At the end of the day, the ModXStream puts OCZ back into the modular saddle with plenty of power to ride off into the silicon sunset."
