"Fan controllers have become just as unique as our computers. NZXT has added some of the best attributes of fan controllers into one simple easy to use unit. The Sentry 2 is easy to use, has a bright & large enough of a display to read our temperatures quickly and effortlessly. Switching from one temperature/fan control mode to another is as easy as counting 1,2,3. The only areas I think NZXT could do better in. Instruction manual was not very clear on how to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit, I still have no clue on how to do this. Also I still have no idea what the sixth mode of this fan controller does. All I know is that it lights up all of the modes 1-5 and the temperature monitor goes blank. Instruction manual does not state what it does or how it goes about it during that mode."
"Sentry 2, however, is a very useful piece of harware, doing fine the job it was designed to. And better of all, it is very inexpensive, providing a terrific cost/benefit ratio."
"Overall, the NZXT Sentry 2 is a great fan controller. The product has very few down sides, which really aren't deal-breakers, and that could easily be fixed. Having used the previous model, the Sentry 1, this second iteration is miles ahead in every aspect. It can control and monitor more, and it works and looks better. If you're in the market for a powerful and affordable fan controller, the NZXT Sentry 2 should be on top of your short list."
"The Sentry 2 is a sufficiently great product, and easy to use, that it is the simplest thing to recommend. If you need a fan controller, don't mind popping their website to see how to use it, and want to move away from the simplicity of a dial, the Sentry 2 comes highly recommended."
"The Sentry 2 is one of the coolest fan controllers I've used, and for one main reason: it's got a touch screen! The Sentry 2 is a nice little treat to add to your system. Along with looking really cool, you'll be able to silence those noisy fans when they don't need to run at 100%. Or maybe you want them to run just enough to keep your system at the temperatures you want. Either way, the Sentry 2 gives you the ability to do this. Along with the ability to control fans, you'll be able to monitor temperatures of up to five different pieces of your hardware. I'll admit it can be hard to find five things you want to monitor, but for those of you with Tri-SLI configurations, the Sentry 2 would be perfect. If you'll use the Sentry 2's temperature sensors as they're supposed to be used, you can set it up so the fans automatically speed up when the areas around them get too hot. If you manually adjust your fans, the Sentry 2 makes for a great way to monitor temperatures on the fly. This means that you don't have to constantly open Core Temp, CCC, HWMonitor, eVGA Precision, or whatever you might be monitoring temperatures with."
