Worse Product Purchased from Dell
The comments are consistent with all of the general forum and review comments. The laptop has a large screen, nice keyboard, every type of port, and it has all of the graphics and storage space for my specific use which is college. It has all of the "bells and whistles" - great if it did not shut down.The bad:
The laptop would be worth its weight in gold if it actually allowed me to utilize the features without shutting down. It is a problem when I am in the middle of working on a project and it shuts down for no reason. This situation cost me time since I had projects that were due and I would have to use someone else's computer to complete the projects. Would not recommend - it is a great laptop when it is not shutting down.Summary:
I have tried to send the machine back and my parents, wanted to see if it was possible to repair, because I needed the machine for school while attending school in Boston. However, it was impossible, so they purchased another laptop in anticipation that the Dell reps and techs could repair the laptop. Unfortuantely, we received the same treatment no response and if we got a response it was someone from one of the outsource centers. We have found this to be extremely frustratings, since my parents have purchased desktops and laptops from them and all have been exceptional with the exception of this product. We respected Dell, because we had great success with the other purchases. However, recently, my parents, have become discouraged with the manner in which Dell has been providing their services and customer support. My parents had own Gateway products before and never had a problem - I think they maybe ready to switch back to Gateway - this is unfortunate, because Dell is a good product - but I think their non-response to the problem will cost them business since they are in a customer oriented environment. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
